Applying tint film to a car. Tinting rear and side car windows

For those who want to do car window tinting with their own hands, without resorting to the services of car services, we offer you to get acquainted with the most affordable tinting technology. The process is quite simple and takes little time, but requires attention, accuracy and patience.

To successfully tint your car yourself, you will need:

  • - a roll of tint film (one is usually enough for 4 side windows);
  • - a rubber spatula or a plastic scraper (the latter is less desirable, as it leaves micro-scratches);
  • - sharp stationery knife;
  • - detergent or shampoo;
  • - clean warm water;
  • - a dry, lint-free cloth;
  • - spray bottle.

In addition, if you decide to do the window tinting yourself, then it will not be superfluous to also call an assistant who will insure you if difficulties suddenly arise. It is better to do glass tinting in a dust-free room or outdoors in good, windless weather. It is also recommended to use a construction, installation, or at least household hair dryer to quickly dry tinted windows.

Since the side windows are easier to remove than the front and rear windows, it is better to start tinting yourself with the side ones. First, remove the seals and thoroughly, using detergent, wash all the glass intended for tinting. Particular attention should be paid to the corners. Next, add shampoo or detergent to the prepared water and pour the resulting soap solution into a spray bottle.

We spray the washed glass from the outside and apply a tint film to it with a dark layer inside. It is important not to mix up the sides! To make it easier to determine which layer is which, you can slightly separate the film from one corner. We align and cut the film attached to the glass, leaving approximately 1 cm of film on all edges.

When a piece of film of the desired shape is ready, generously spray the glass with soapy water from the inside. Next, quickly, so that the glass does not have time to dry, we separate the dark layer of the film, simultaneously wetting it with a solution from a spray bottle. Here, a person inexperienced in tinting glass with his own hands will need an assistant: one of you will firmly hold the transparent layer, and the second will carefully pull off and spray the dark one.

Next, apply a dark layer to the wet inner side of the glass. We spray it on top. Then we apply a transparent layer on it, which will protect the film from mechanical damage, and begin to smooth it with a rubber spatula in the direction from the center to the edges. It is necessary to get rid of all air bubbles and smooth until the dried transparent film begins to fall off. Having removed it, carefully trim the protruding edges of the tint film, running a sharp knife along the edge of the glass.

Finally, if you have a hairdryer, dry the glass around the perimeter. If not, move on to the next window. After the work has been done, it is not recommended to insert seals into the doors or open tinted windows for two days.

Finally, it is worth noting that tinting a car yourself allows you to significantly save money, but does not provide the guarantees that you get when tinting it from professionals. Each tinting specialist has certain skills that can only be acquired with experience. When doing tinting yourself, you will most likely have to repeat the procedure much more often than if you go to a salon.

Today we’ll talk about protection from prying eyes. Tinting is one of the indispensable attributes of most cars that are found on our roads. Some are more dark, others less. But many today consider driving in an “aquarium” to be bad manners, because those around you have time to see most of the details of what is happening in the cabin, as well as the things that are in it. Therefore, many people ask the question of how to tint a car. Let's see what you need to know about this.

Let's start with how best and what film to darken a car, and how it should be chosen for this procedure. One of the criteria that drivers pay attention to when purchasing a tint film is the percentage of its light transmission. This indicator means how much light flux the tinting will transmit and how much it will block. In other words, this will affect the degree of darkness.

The darkest one has a light transmission percentage of 5. This means that 95% of the light flux will be blocked by such a coating. While the lightest is characterized by 70% throughput according to GOST. This is the standard that is used in many countries where such requirements are caused by security and order considerations. In our country, for now, we have a more tolerant attitude towards this issue, so many craftsmen strive to simply glue the film with their own hands.

I myself drove a tinted car for several years. I darkened everything except the windshield with 15th film. There is no severe discomfort, but when driving through unlit courtyards with constant turns, I had to lower the front windows.

It is not advisable to darken the windshield, as this is directly related to traffic safety. It is better to tint the front side windows with a film with a transmission coefficient of 30% (although this does not correspond to the regulations for the vehicle’s approval for operation), and for the rear windows almost any one will do. One of the most popular is colored film, most often black, dark blue, silver, or mirror. Even a dark coating makes it possible to drive comfortably at night, if it has a normal light transmittance percentage.

Benefits of Dimming

What does car tinting give the driver, the price of which is affordable for most car enthusiasts:

  • in hot weather, it reduces the heating of the car interior by half;
  • delays the overwhelming amount of UV rays that have an adverse effect on our skin;
  • successfully fights glare from oncoming headlights, sunlight, and sparkling snow;
  • holds glass in case of physical damage, protecting passengers from fragments;
  • protects personal space, as well as interior items (radar detector,).

What to prepare for tinting

In order to darken the windows in your car, you need to stock up on several basic ingredients and components:

  • direct tint film. As a rule, one roll of standard length is enough for four side windows;
  • stationery knife, always sharp;
  • rubber spatula of suitable rigidity. The kit may include a miniature scraper, but it is better not to use it to avoid leaving scratches;
  • a solution of detergent and warm water;
  • spray;
  • any hair dryer (household, installation, construction);
  • dry rags (soft rags).

How to do the work yourself and inexpensively

It is advisable to carry out the work with an assistant, since the film dries quickly, and many actions must be carried out in a matter of minutes. The tinting itself should be planned for a warm day, in dry and windless weather in the open air or in a ventilated, dust-free room.
So, let's now see how to properly perform the car tinting procedure:

  1. First, all door seals are removed. This must be done carefully so as not to damage the rubber coating. All glasses must be prepared accordingly - for this they are washed using a soap solution.
  2. The film must be cut into pieces completely in accordance with the dimensions of each glass. All pieces must be laid out so that they can be quickly accessed. You can leave a small amount of film on each side.
  3. We will also need detergent or shampoo for the tinting process itself. The prepared solution is poured into a spray bottle. Now the outer part of the pre-washed glass is sprayed from it.
  4. Now the required piece of film is applied to each glass in turn. The transparent layer faces outside, and the dark layer faces inside the vehicle interior. Now the dark layer is carefully but quickly separated before the glass has time to become dry. In order to quickly pull it off, you can moisten it from the same spray bottle.
  5. After this, you can smooth the surface of the glass with a rubber spatula, simultaneously removing any bubbles and irregularities that have appeared. Sudden movements should be avoided, and smoothing should be done from the edges to the center.
  6. After the transparent part of the tint has fallen off, you can trim off any excess around the edges. This is done with a sharp knife, but extremely carefully so as not to damage the main areas.
  7. If you have a hairdryer, you can force-dry each finished glass. After a day or two, you can put the seals in place and operate the car as usual.

With your own hands? This question is asked by many car owners, so we have prepared detailed instructions with which you can deal with tinting your car yourself.

Car window tinting has many benefits:

  • Saving

    Do-it-yourself tinting will save you money, because you only need to spend money on consumables and tools. Of course, you can save money only if you strictly follow the instructions and do not violate the work technology.

  • Reducing interior heating level

    In summer, the car interior gets very hot in the sun, so both the driver and passengers have to sit on literally hot seats. Tinted car windows reflect most of the sun's rays, so the interior temperature remains comfortable.

  • UV protection

    Tinting takes care of our health, protecting us from harmful ultraviolet radiation. The tinted surface reflects up to 99% of UV rays.

  • Increased strength

    Tinting film enhances the strength of car windows. Of course, this is not its main purpose (unlike protective). However, tinted car glass is a little more difficult to break than regular glass.

  • Protection from prying eyes

    Few drivers like to feel “like in an aquarium” - when the interior is easily visible from all sides. Tinting will protect the car from the glances of curious passers-by, as well as from intruders eyeing the valuable contents of car interiors.

  • Aesthetics

    We put this advantage last, but for many car owners it comes first. Indeed, a car with tinting looks very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.

Now that you have appreciated all the benefits of tinting, we suggest moving on to the main thing - the work process itself.

Tinting stages

No matter how much you would like to start gluing the tint film as soon as possible, you will first have to do a little preparation.

Preparation of tools and equipment

It is better to prepare everything you need in advance than to hastily look for the necessary tools and materials later. Or even worse - use various improvised means. So write down or remember right away what you will need for tinting yourself:

  1. Tint film

    On average, about 3 m² of film is used for the side windows and rear window - 2 m² and 1 m², respectively. The windshield, as a rule, is not tinted. If you are doing tinting yourself for the first time, we recommend buying a film with a reserve.

  2. Spatula or scraper

    What exactly to choose - a rubber spatula or a plastic scraper - is a matter of taste. For example, we prefer to work with a soft spatula, which, unlike a hard scraper, does not leave micro-scratches.

  3. Shampoo

    You will need it to prepare the soap solution that you will use throughout your work. The shampoo can be anything, the main thing is that it does not contain aggressive chemicals.

  4. Spray

    You will need this tool to apply the solution evenly.

  5. Stationery knife A sharp flat knife is useful for cutting out the film.
  6. Rag

    It must be soft and lint-free so that no fibers remain.

  7. Construction hair dryer

    This is one of the most important tools. You can also use a regular household hair dryer, but in this case the work will take much longer.

Preparing the car

After you have prepared the necessary materials and tools, wash both sides of the glass of your car on which you will stick the tint film. There should be no dirt, stains, or traces of sand on its surface.

As soon as you finish washing, make a solution: dilute a few drops of shampoo in warm, clean water. Pour the resulting soap solution into a spray bottle. This completes the preparatory work, and you should begin tinting the windows.

The entire film covering operation should be carried out in a dry, warm and clean room. Ideally, it will be a separate, well-lit box.

Tinted glass

There are 7 main stages in the tinting procedure. The main thing is to be extremely careful and strictly adhere to the instructions, then you won’t have to redo anything, and the result will meet your expectations.

  1. Making a “pattern”

    Take a roll of tint film and roll it out. To understand how much film you will need, apply it to the car window with one hand and mark the approximate edges of the cut with a marker using your free hand. After this, cut off part of the film with a stationery knife with a small margin - tolerances of a few millimeters. Then put your “pattern” aside for a while.

  2. Apply soap solution

    Apply a layer of solution to the glass using a spray bottle.

  3. Removing the protective layer

    Very carefully separate the protective layer from the tint film. Lubricate the side that will stick to the glass with soapy water.

  4. We glue the film

    Apply film to the wet surface of the glass. It is important to ensure that no horizontal folds appear. If vertical ones appear, it’s not a big deal, since they can then be quite easily straightened out with a spatula or scraper.

    Some technicians believe that tinting the rear window yourself is more difficult than tinting the side windows. However, the procedure is absolutely the same: the film is glued in exactly the same way, you can see this in the video.

  5. Leveling the film

    Carefully, so as not to tear, flatten the film on the car glass. Movements with a spatula (scraper) should be from the center to the edges. At the same time, heat the film with a hair dryer - it softens and smoothes out more easily.

    Since it is quite difficult to level and warm up the film on your own, ask someone to help you. For example, you smooth the film with both hands, and your assistant works with a hairdryer.

  6. Trim off the excess

    Since we took the film with a reserve, there will be excess. Cut them with a utility knife. You can step back a little from the edges of the glass so that the film does not peel off over time in these places.

  7. Drying

    The final stage is drying. Leave the car in a warm room for 3-4 hours. But remember that the film will dry completely only after 2-3 days. All this time the car must be parked with the windows open. That is why it is best to do tinting in a special closed box.

DIY tinting for different car models

Most owners choose tinting for aesthetic rather than practical benefits. A car with tinted windows always looks stylish, even if we are talking about domestic VAZs.

Historically, it so happened that for almost all models of the domestic automobile industry, owners do tinting: for VAZ 2106, VAZ 2107, Lada Grants, Priora, Largus or Kalina, for Niva or, for example, UAZ Patriot. But is the DIY tinting process different for these cars from tinting foreign cars - Ford Focus, Nexia, Renault Duster or Logan, Chevrolet Lanos, KIA and other cars?

In general, the window tinting procedure is the same for all makes and models of cars. Just like the process of tinting the rear window is almost identical to tinting the side windows. The difference can only be in the amount of work, which depends on the structure and configuration of the window. Some models may require more film, especially jeeps. On the contrary, the wrapping of sedans may require less material.

Types of tints

In addition to classic do-it-yourself tinting, there are other types. However, they all require special knowledge and equipment, so it’s unlikely that you can do it on your own. We suggest you familiarize yourself with these tints:

Removable toning

Do-it-yourself removable tinting at home is possible, but only if you already have experience in such work and also have the necessary tools and materials.

A film for static tinting is applied to a special plastic substrate. This removable backing is very easy to remove if necessary, for example, if you are stopped by a traffic police officer, and then just as easily put back in its original place. However, not all drivers find removable tint convenient.

Electrical toning

Doing electronic tinting yourself at home is quite difficult, since it involves installing a special three-layer glass. The main feature of such auto glass is that it changes color depending on the desire of the driver. Using the remote control, you can set any dimming level.

Spraying on glass

This type of tinting can only be performed in a factory setting, since it is carried out using a special technology that is unlikely to be reproduced on your own.

A very thin layer of metal is sprayed onto the glass under vacuum conditions, thus darkening the surface by an average of 25%.<.p>

Automatic tinting (double glass)

In this case, two glasses are installed - regular and tinted. You also need to install additional window lifters so that, if necessary, you can lower the tinted glass and leave the usual transparent one. So, double glass will always save you from a fine if traffic police officers suddenly decide to check the percentage of tinting.

In principle, you can handle the installation of double glass yourself. However, to do it yourself requires a lot of practice.

If the film is damaged, begins to peel off, you are simply tired of it, or a traffic police officer requires it to be removed, it is quite easy to get rid of it with your own hands at home. But take your time and under no circumstances try to rip off the old film with a knife, scissors or the first objects you come to hand!

It is also prohibited to use aggressive liquids: acetone, white spirit, etc. These products will indeed dissolve the film, but the remaining particles of tint will stick even more and will be very difficult to clean them yourself.

We suggest choosing one of two effective ways to remove window tinting yourself:

  1. Heat removal

    Heat the glass with a hair dryer to 40-50°C, then pick up the edge of the film and pull it. So, gradually, with one hand, separate the film from the glass, while not forgetting to warm the surface with a hairdryer all the time with the other hand. It is very difficult to cope with this task on your own, so it is better to ask a friend to help you.

    If the rear window is heated, the technology for removing the film will be exactly the same. The main thing is not to damage the heating system with sharp objects.

  2. Removal without heating

    Carefully use a thin-tipped tool (preferably not sharp) to pry the edge of the film and slowly pull it.

    After you remove the tint, apply a soap solution and wait 10-15 minutes. Then use a soft rubber or silicone scraper to remove any remaining adhesive and wash the window thoroughly.

DIY tinting video

We invite you to watch the video of tinting a car yourself. After watching the videos, you will get a complete understanding of how to carry out each stage of the work yourself.

As you can see, it is quite possible to do tinting yourself if you first study all stages of the work and strictly follow the technology. We are sure that you will succeed!

Many people are interested in how to apply tint to a car. This is a rather complex process that requires compliance with a number of conditions. First of all, it is recommended to choose the right material for tinting. It must meet certain criteria. Strict adherence to the manipulation technology is of no small importance. This will help you avoid common mistakes.

According to legal requirements, windshield tinting should be no more than 25%. For side windows, the acceptable parameter is 30%. In addition, it is allowed to place a reflective film on the windshield. Its width should be no more than 14 centimeters. This device improves the driver's visibility.

There are no such restrictions on rear windows. However, the law prohibits the use of mirror coating. Strong reflection of light creates the risk of accidents. Front windows - side and windshield - should not lead to distortion of some shades. These include red, white, yellow and green. Otherwise, this will cause additional violations. In modern cars, windshields transmit no more than 80% of light. Therefore, there is no need to tint them. The same applies to the front side windows. The lightest tinting film absorbs 10-20% of light.

Therefore, there is a high probability of exceeding the norm. This will result in fines.

If you plan to tint your car, you should definitely evaluate the percentage of light that the film lets through. To do this, it is recommended to contact a tinting station. With rear windows, things are much simpler. In this case there are no strict restrictions. The exception is the mentioned mirror coating.

Varieties

Today there are many ways to darken a car. If you plan to do this yourself, it is recommended to use film. In this case, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the rules for choosing a material and recommendations for its fixation.

Simple

The simple material is characterized by a black adhesive base.

Multicolored

Films of different shades can be found on sale. This allows the car owner to choose the appropriate option.

Transparent

Such material can be covered with different patterns.

Metallized

With a changing color scheme

The color of this coating gradually changes.

Chameleon

This material is characterized by a mirror surface.

Silicone

This is a fairly popular modern material that is chosen by many car enthusiasts.

Perforated

This film is supplemented with various holes.

How to choose a tint film for a car

To choose a film for tinting, it is worth considering a number of criteria. Many companies are engaged in the production of such coating.

Suntek

This is one of the most popular manufacturers, whose products are in demand all over the world. The company's product range includes different materials - mirror, metallized, energy-saving films. Innovative formulations help protect against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation.

There are materials that have an anti-reflective effect. They do not fade over time and are even capable of trapping glass fragments in the event of an accident.

Llumar

The company offers many interesting options. Two-layer film, which has a deep color, is considered popular. It is made by metallization. The material protects the interior from heat and helps to avoid fading of painted elements. The coating from this manufacturer can be thermoformed. Thanks to this, it fits perfectly on curved glass.

Sun-gard

Such films help protect the car from the negative effects of sunlight. After some time, ultraviolet radiation causes fading of interior elements, plastic items and leather. In addition, the sun causes glare, which creates dangerous situations on the road. The use of tinting material helps to avoid such problems.

SunControl

This film is produced by an American company. It is very popular because it combines high quality and affordable cost. The company's arsenal includes metallized and non-metalized coatings. They have a scratch-resistant surface.

SolarGard

Such films are quite expensive, but are still very popular. The company's arsenal includes many series that differ in the degree of light transmission. This parameter ranges from 5 to 37%.

The company offers consumers two-layer films, which are characterized by deep coloring and are made by metallization. Thanks to this, it is possible to achieve protection from heating and avoid fading of the painted layers. The coating can be easily thermoformed. Due to this, it can be easily applied to curved glass.

Preparing to work with cars

In order for the use of film to bring the desired results, it is recommended to properly prepare for the tinting procedure.

Calculation of the required material

First of all, you should stock up on enough coverage. When purchasing material, it is important to consider that when cutting it, losses will amount to 20%.

Water spray

This device is required for applying a soap solution to the surface of the car.

Liquid soap or detergent

This product is necessary for processing glass.

Stationery knife

With the help of a sharp stationery knife you will be able to cut the film most efficiently and evenly.

Lint-free wipes

It is important to pay attention that the napkins do not have lint. Otherwise, small particles will remain on the surface of the car.

Forcing

This device helps remove the solution from under the film.

Special scraper

This tool is used to clean the surface of the car.

Electric construction hair dryer

This device may be required to eliminate small defects on the surface of the material.

How to properly tint side windows at home

To stick the film on the side windows, you need to perform a number of sequential steps. First of all, it is recommended to cut the material correctly. This is done depending on the size of the glass. First, it is recommended to determine the location of the adhesive side. Then from the outside it is worth moistening the surface with a soap solution. This is done using a sprayer.

It is recommended to fix the material on a damp surface. At the same time, carefully smooth it out with a rubber spatula and cut off the edges with a knife. It is important to leave 1 centimeter of material. These fragments are placed under seals. It is recommended to cut the material carefully so as not to damage it or compromise the integrity of the rubber seals. It is recommended to carry out this procedure after the film has been completely smoothed.

It is also permissible to use liquid tinting. This method is characterized by applying a special composition to the surface of the machine. As a result of distribution over the surface of the glass, it leads to the appearance of a darkening layer.

The process of pasting rear windows with your own hands

To cover the rear windows yourself with tinting film, it is recommended to wash them thoroughly. This should be done not only from the outside, but also from the inside. Then the tinting is done in the following sequence of actions:

  1. Apply a 1.5 meter wide film to the rear window, cut it along the contour, leaving a small margin.
  2. Heat with a hairdryer, level the film with a spatula and straighten it from the center to the edges. Warm the material carefully. When overheated, it becomes deformed, which causes damage.
  3. Using interior lighting, cut the film along the contour. The size of the workpiece should be 2 millimeters larger than the white glass. This means that it should extend slightly beyond the black border.
  4. Before sticking the material, wash the glass thoroughly. Even small specks of dust lead to the appearance of air bubbles.
  5. Rinse off the foam with water. It is worth directing a pressure jet onto the glass.
  6. Remove the protective layer from the film. At the same time, moisten it with soapy water. The material has 2 sides - lavsan and tinting. The second is adhesive. It is important to install the tint material correctly.
  7. Open the door and put in the film. It is recommended to do this procedure together. It is worth bringing the workpiece in smoothly, without making sudden movements. Do not touch the adhesive side or raise dust. It is worth considering that it is more difficult to glue the film in a sedan than in a hatchback.
  8. Attach the material to the glass surface and carefully straighten and smooth it with a spatula. Remove air and water using smooth movements. This is done from the central part to the edges.
  9. Remove remaining water with a rubber spatula.
  • To smooth out the film in a sedan, you should use a long-handled straightener. This makes it easier to access the edges.
  • To dry the adhesive layer faster, use a hairdryer.

Although the job seems simple, it is quite difficult to properly lay the material on the rear window. This may not work the first time. To achieve good results, it is not recommended to rush. All actions must be strictly performed in accordance with the instructions.

Possible problems and their solutions

When tinting a car, various problems may arise. To avoid this, you must strictly follow the technology of the procedure.

Air bubbles

It is worth dealing with this problem at the initial stage. This is done before the film dries. After finishing work, it is recommended to carefully inspect the windows. If there are bubbles, they are removed by distillation.

If the film has already dried, it will have to be softened. It is recommended to do this with a hairdryer or clothes steamer. It is permissible to use an iron with a steam generator.

Creases

It is important to avoid this problem at any stage. After the creases, noticeable stripes appear. Usually such shortcomings are typical for Chinese films. Inexperienced craftsmen can easily ruin such material.

Stripes

The stripes appear due to creases. If glued incorrectly, the material can be saved within a few hours. To do this, it is recommended to cut off the excess and compensate for the deficiency by moving the film. This can be done if there is some stock left on the reverse side. To do this, you need to warm it up and remove the tint. Then spray the solution and stick it properly.

Points

Sometimes after tinting all kinds of dots appear on the glass. It is recommended to remove them immediately after gluing the glass. If the film has already set, it is recommended to warm it up.

In order for tinting to be successful, during the procedure you should adhere to a number of recommendations:

  1. It is always recommended to install the film on the inside of the cabin. When placing material outside there is a risk of rapid damage.
  2. When purchasing material, you should not give preference to the cheapest one. Poor quality film does not adhere well to the surface. Even specialists cannot achieve good results. It is better to buy a removable film that can be re-glued if desired.
  3. It is recommended to smooth the material carefully. It can be scratched easily.
  4. It is worth pouring clean water without foreign impurities into the sprayer. Tap water is not recommended.
  5. Side windows are fairly easy to tint. There may be problems with the rear window. Therefore, it is recommended to entrust this work to professionals.

Car tinting is a rather complicated procedure that requires certain skills. To do this work yourself, you should familiarize yourself with its stages and strictly follow the sequence of actions.

How to give the windows of your favorite car a new look in an interesting and modern way? Of course, make high-quality tinting. To do this, it is not at all necessary to visit bus stations, where window tinting services can cost you a pretty penny; all you need to do is be patient, high-quality materials and time. Almost any car owner can apply special films to their cars. And soon you will be able to enjoy the result of your labor.

Window tinting at home is quite a serious and responsible process. To tint the windows of your car, it is advisable to use special tint films. Learn how to properly apply them to glass later in the article.

Must be performed in accordance with established standards and GOSTs. Therefore, before starting work, familiarize yourself with all the necessary tinting standards.

Further, the main working material will be the tint film, so its choice must also be taken seriously. It is the quality of the chosen material that will determine how high-quality and durable the tinting you will get as a result.

Currently, global manufacturers offer a wide range of tint films for every taste. It is advisable to choose a tint film in specialized salons with a warranty from the seller.

Required materials for tinting:

Tinting film (roll);

Spatula or construction eraser (rubber);

Detergent;

Spray

Car window tinting process:

1. Glass tinting must be carried out in a dry, ventilated area.

2. You can only tint the side windows at home (for the rear window you need to hire a specialist, since this window is tinted using a special technology.

3. Car windows must be prepared for tinting. To do this, use a detergent and a spray bottle to thoroughly wash the glass so that there is no dirt, dust or streaks left on them.

4. Take the tint film and cut it into separate pieces, having first taken measurements of the glass. Leave allowances of 5 mm along the perimeter of each canvas. In order to take measurements correctly, you need to moisten the glass with soapy water and apply the film with the protective layer facing out. After this, carefully use a knife to cut out the required size of the film.

5. After this, you can apply the film to the glass. The glass must be tinted from the inside of the glass. To do this, first apply a soap solution, remove the protective layer from the film and stick the film on the glass. At the same time, try to remove the protective layer not immediately, but gradually.

6. Using a spatula or eraser, carefully level the surface of the film to avoid the appearance of air bubbles. The surface of the film must be leveled from the center to the edges.

7. After applying the film to the glass, use a knife to remove excess parts of the film, thus accurately adjusting the film to the size of the glass. Use a hair dryer to dry the glass.

After the window tinting process is completed, leave the car for several days for the film to shrink on the windows, while leaving the windows stationary. Only after this time can you install window seals and safely use the car.
