Weaknesses of ssangyong actyon new. Weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages of SsangYong Actyon Sports

In 2006, the South Korean company SsangYong presented to the public its new brainchild, called the SsangYong Actyon. The product was offered in liftback and pickup body styles, which in itself should have greatly appealed to the public. But, despite the efforts of the designers, at first the car was ambiguously received by consumers due to its extremely unusual design, which was a big blow for the company. However, a little later, he was still able to win the hearts of quite a large number of people around the world thanks to his low price, reliability and unpretentiousness. As befits not only Korean, but also all other manufacturers, the car has its advantages and disadvantages. In this article, we will quickly “go over” the list of the main advantages of the car in question, but we will pay special attention to weak points and other design flaws in order to make it easier to find a new car, or to warn you against buying an overly shabby copy on the secondary market.

At the beginning of its production and until 2011, the car was supplied only with a 2-liter diesel engine with 149 hp, but after restyling in 2013, the line of engines was replenished with a 2.3-liter gasoline engine with 150 hp. By the way, this restyling affected only those cars whose production was established in Kazakhstan and continues to this day.

How is Actyon Sports different from a simple Actyon?

Oddly enough, many people do not know what the difference is between a simple Actyon and a version of the same model with the “Sports” prefix. The answer is simple - SsangYong Actyon cars are produced exclusively in the format of a 5-door crossover, and the Actyon Sports is a 4-door pickup truck, that's all.

Specifications:

  • Engine: petrol or diesel, in-line, 4-cylinder*;
  • Power: 150 hp for gasoline, and 149 hp. for diesel;

What are the advantages and disadvantages of SanYong Action Sports:

Here is a short list of qualities for which the car in question received love and recognition from a huge army of its fans:

  1. High level of cross-country ability;
  2. Roomy body and interior;
  3. Low cost;
  4. A large number of functions inherent in a modern car;
  5. High dynamic characteristics (especially for versions with a diesel engine and a manual transmission);
  6. Sufficiently high quality finishing materials and ergonomic interior;
  7. Low fuel consumption (again, this applies to diesel versions);
  8. High level of sound insulation;
  9. Good handling and soft ride;
  10. Frame design.

Weaknesses of SsangYong Action Sports

As mentioned above, the machine has a number of shortcomings, namely:

  • Thin and corrosion-resistant metal;
  • Engine;
  • Fuel system;
  • Electrical;
  • Automatic transmission;
  • Drive;
  • All-wheel drive on/off clutches;
  • Power steering.

Thin and corrosion-resistant metal.

As befits the entire Korean automobile industry, the main weakness of this car is its instability to the aggressive environment of Russian roads. Copious amounts of salt, which is used on our roads in winter, can turn a powerful SUV into a piece of rusty metal in a few years. That is why it is recommended to drive it as little as possible in winter, and to go to the car wash as often as possible after such trips.

Although this car uses Mercedes engines, this did not protect it from operational problems. Most often, the list of engine malfunctions includes scoring on the cylinders, severe and rapid wear of the connecting rod and piston group, and coking of the oil scraper and compression rings. In addition, operating problems include the tendency of gasoline engines to overheat, which can lead to very large losses in the owner’s wallet.

Fuel system.

The low quality of domestic fuel has always caused trouble for many owners, but in the case of the SsangYong Actyon Sports, this problem is multiplied several times. The fact is that the fuel injectors of diesel engines are simply not capable of passing our diesel fuel through them for more than 80 thousand kilometers, and the cost of replacing them can reach up to 60 thousand rubles per set. The failure of this expensive unit can be delayed by using several fuel filters and a separator.

The next disease is constant “glitches” in the operation of various on-board systems. This is caused by poor quality and poorly thought out wiring, which after several winters begins to actively oxidize, contact is lost and you will have to urgently visit an electrician. In some cases, the damage to the wiring is so severe that starting the engine becomes impossible.

Automatic transmission.

If a manual transmission rarely causes any complaints on any car, then an automatic transmission already requires some attention. On the same car, for this unit, you need even more of it, because even if you carry out automatic transmission maintenance in accordance with all the regulations, no one can give you a guarantee that the next trip will not be the last for your transmission. Therefore, even though this car is positioned as an SUV, frequent driving in the absence of roads is extremely undesirable.

This weakness manifests itself only during private and aggressive off-road driving and consists in wear of the CV joints on the front axle, which is why they begin to crunch. Otherwise, the drives are quite reliable and, with due attention to themselves, can cover hundreds of thousands of kilometers.

All-wheel drive on/off clutches.

Just like the one described above, this defect can only be identified if the previous owner constantly tested his car in places where the roads had not even been heard of. In this car, the front axle is disengaged, and frequent turning on/off of the drive to all wheels damages the clutch. The cost of replacing it can put a big dent in your budget, so when buying a used car, pay special attention to how quickly the car responds to the command to turn on and off all-wheel drive.

Power steering.

Last on the list of shortcomings is a weak point, the essence of which is the constant leakage of hydraulic oil from the power steering pump due to low-quality seals that are used in its production, as well as cracking of connecting hoses. If in the first case the repair involves a complete replacement of the pump (its cost is about 15 thousand rubles), then another frequent breakdown can be fixed for just a few thousand.

Main disadvantages of SsangYong Actyon Sports

Other weak points of this car include:

  • Severely limited visibility, which is especially important in parking lots;
  • Expensive spare parts;
  • Poor design;
  • The main radiator is located very low, due to which there is a risk of damaging it;
  • Weak transfer case;
  • Very long wheelbase and overhangs with low ground clearance;
  • Weak paintwork;
  • Problems finding a repair service;
  • Low liquidity in the secondary market;
  • Problems with starting in cold weather (for diesel engines);
  • The spare wheel is located under the body, which makes changing it very difficult.

Conclusion.

If you love large and off-road SUVs, but are not at the top of Forbes magazine and don’t have money for luxury SUVs, then the Ssang Yong Actyon Sports will be the ideal solution for you. A low price, a fairly high level of reliability, coupled with a large body and a spacious interior will delight you for many years.

But you should never forget that this is a Korean car, and, like all others, it has its pros and cons. Therefore, in addition to scheduled maintenance, periodically carry out preventive maintenance of all systems and mechanisms. Listen to your car more often, even if nothing should break, because its service life and the impressions it will leave in your life depend on your actions.

P.S.: Dear car owners, if you have noticed systematic breakdowns of any parts or units of this model, please report it below in the comments.

Weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages of SsangYong Actyon Sports was last modified: December 22, 2018 by Administrator

Many compatriots were very happy to see a line of cars from the Korean SsangYong on the Russian market. Of course: you can buy an off-road SUV “for a million” in full mince, with a factory warranty, and other reflections of gloss that obscure the eye. The reality turned out to be a little less rosy, and the owners’ attitude towards these Korean cars, in general, is ambiguous. And not everything in them is treated directly by service and service stations - let's figure out why.

Are you having problems with SsangYong?
Car servicesSchmid offer all diagnostic and repair work at great prices!

This is not an SUV

The Korean model range - and this is Kyron, Rexton, Aktion and the exotic Nomad and Stavik - with their appearance they tell us: “look, I’m a big off-road car.” Just a “part-time jeep.” This is wrong. Not at all like that. The entire range is in basic condition - at best, city and family cars.

All Koreans SY do not have such a large power output from the engine. Driving on the highway at more than 90 km/h becomes a problem: the dynamics do not allow for convincing overtaking, acceleration to 110-120 and beyond occurs reluctantly. We don’t recommend driving at speeds of 130-140 at all, which will be discussed below.

An attempt to use the SY as a real SUV will very quickly end before it even begins: there is no mechanical strength in the components of this car. The base and turning radius are not for rough terrain at all. Off-road dynamics leave much to be desired, and the cost of subsequent repairs will finally convince the owner that the idea was so-so.

You can drive onto a curb or dig yourself out of the snow. But don't expect more from them.

Half of the problems and unjustified expectations arise from the discrepancy between external appearance and internal capabilities. But not only. Let's go through the list.

Common faults

Weak suspension

Every second owner complains about the Korean suspension. In short, it is too hard and rough to control, and too soft to break through. This is due to the design features of the bridges and construction; nothing can be done about it. On models of recent years, the manufacturer (having made conclusions about the repair) installs reinforced components, but this does not fundamentally change the sensations.

Optics

Almost every SY from the salon is blind. But here everything is simple, the lamps are replaced with normal ones, some things can be “tweaked”. If you don’t think about it in advance, at dusk, birth blindness can be an unpleasant surprise.

Directional stability

The sore spot of all the first generations of Koreans SY. This is partly due to weight distribution - their center of mass is higher than we are used to, and partly due to the properties of the suspension. SsangYong has problems here in bulk.

Every second review on forums in 2010-2013 looked like this: “I’m driving along the highway, not touching anyone, oops! - and the car flies away somewhere.”

The manufacturer drew conclusions as best he could. But the sediment remained. The car behaves strangely and illogically. According to the owners, the situation could be corrected by all-wheel drive, but at highway speeds it does not work. The tendency for fasteners to fail only adds to the ambiguity.

The fact that height and weight distribution are to blame is evidenced by the fact that the updated Rexton - which is lower and squat - has almost gotten rid of these generic problems.

For long trips on the highway, the cars are not very suitable in terms of comfort. The car does not allow you to relax; there is no cruise control. Not a UAZ, of course, but the experience is not for everyone.

Winter

Koreans have a bad time with winter. At temperatures less than -10, get ready to run around with anti-freeze, find out why it won’t start, and go to the service station on a tow truck.

Ball joints

The unsuccessful design element of the first generations of SY also did not add positive emotions to the owners. Ball joints flew out of their mounts while driving, for no apparent reason, the car was in a ditch, it’s good if people are alive.

This is a factory defect, a replacement under warranty, but the replacement was carried out somewhat sluggishly: there are still a lot of Koreans on the secondary market, where no one changed anything, and the SsangYong problems remain.

The load-bearing parts of SY vehicles also have problems with other mechanical fastenings. Either the dynamic loads were poorly calculated, or simply the quality of the welding. But there is a risk that some necessary part will fall off at the wrong moment. Gentlemen, but this is not a UAZ, really.

Injectors

If a Korean's injectors are leaking, then they are leaking with all their heart, completely and with all their money.

Solved by replacing the injectors. Appears after 30-35 thousand kilometers. Failures are not recognized as factory defects, they are simply the way they are. Some configurations are lucky and all is well. No pattern has yet been identified.

Automatic transmission

The Chirons are diagnosed with a factory defect with the control board in the automatic transmission. Replaced under warranty. But there is quite a lot of fuss. It usually appears after 40 thousand, in recent generations they promised to fix it.

Suspension again

Things didn't work out for the manufacturer with the rear axles. Especially if the owner considered his car an SUV, and after 40-45 thousand. And everything would be fine, but there are absolutely not enough new assembled bridges for the whole of Russia, and you have to wait for months for a spare part, telling friends and neighbors that the Koreans are so-so when it comes to repairs.

Fatal 50 thousand

Let's face it. By their 50,000 mileage, the Koreans begin to fall apart, in significant parts, and at risk for the owner.

On the other hand, the Korean’s price tag is such that it allows you to buy a new SsangYong instead of a used Japanese one. And “sell by 50.” The only problem is that everyone who has lived to the point of death is trying to sell.

To take or not to take?

If we are talking about new car- why not. If you understand the limitations of the Korean line, and do not demand the impossible from the car. In fact, this is a city and family car, sometimes a country car, which occasionally - occasionally! – can prove itself as an SUV.

If we are talking about secondary market, then think twice. Possible problems that did not appear in the previous owner and are waiting for you, this car is not at all cosmetic. SsangYong repair it's not a cheap thing. At the same time, the Korean is not repaired with a “sledgehammer and a plaster” like the UAZ or the old Japanese, and you risk collecting patch repairs from the car with all possible uncertainty.

If you have already have a KoreanS.Y.– now you know the possible places of “generic” problems. This, by the way, does not mean that everything else will not fall apart. But at the service station, pay attention to these nodes. If your vehicle has not had the defective units replaced, consider replacing it as soon as possible.

Appearing in Russia in 2006, the SsangYong Actyon Sports pickup truck boasted an automatic transmission, spring rear suspension and an unexpectedly high price. However, time has corrected this shortcoming...

A price tag of under 30 thousand dollars and critical consumer reviews do not prevent the Korean pickup truck from successfully competing with its classmates. What's the secret? Perhaps in an unusual appearance or in the ghost of the Daimler AG concern, which is related to the design of some components and assemblies.

Until recently, the SsangYong Actyon Sports was equipped only with a 2-liter diesel 144-horsepower turbo engine with a common rail fuel supply system, manufactured under license from Mercedes-Benz. During operation, the engine pleases with its traction characteristics; it is dynamic and unpretentious to weather conditions. However, its Delphi fuel injection pump does not accept low-quality diesel fuel well. This is literally like a knife sharp for him - starting from 15 thousand miles, metal shavings from a damaged pump enter the fuel system and damage the fuel injectors. The problem is signaled by an increasing number of failures during a cold engine start, and subsequently by a complete failure of the engine to start. At the same time, replacing an injector or injectors costs from 11,000 to 14,500 rubles. per piece the problem can only be solved temporarily. If symptoms reoccur, the fuel injection pump and again the injectors are changed. In the worst case scenario, the disease can also be overcome by replacing the cylinder head.

Alarm whistle.
A common problem is failure of the drive belt tensioner for attachments. The first sign is a whistle

However, that's not all. Due to the inclined location of the engine, the last, fourth injector is subject to coking by fuel and mud deposits and becomes tightly stuck to the cylinder head. Attempts to separate the nozzle often lead to irreversible damage and replacement of the unit. The issue price is about 80 thousand rubles. plus injectors.

Mechanical particles in the fuel system can also lead to damage to the fuel rail and the need for subsequent replacement.

A less devastating, but more common problem is the failure of the accessory drive belt tensioner. It manifests itself as a loud whistle and often a clear distortion of the belt. The culprits are mechanical contamination and wear of the tensioner O-rings. The repair will cost about 10 thousand rubles, including the belt and tensioner.

Inheritance. The stepped fairway of the automatic transmission selector seems to hint at the “Mercedes” roots of the transmission

TWO THROUGH SIX
A 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic are available in various trim levels, and in the restyled version - manual transmission6 and automatic transmission6.

The “mechanics” are reliable and durable, the clutch “lives” with reasonable use for at least 60 thousand km. Shifting is clear and elastic, but first and second gears are very short, and the rocker handle transmits vibrations, creating some discomfort.

The operation of the automatic gearbox does not cause any complaints, acceleration is smooth and dynamic.

There is a weak point in the operation of the part-time all-wheel drive system - the vacuum tubes for controlling the wheel hub locking clutch. Unfortunately, they are subject to frequent mechanical damage and are very sensitive to temperature changes.

SPRINGS ONLY

The front suspension is independent spring, the rear suspension is also spring, but dependent.

The design is reliable, tested on SsangYong Korando and Musso. With timely care (injection), it lasts more than 100 thousand km. The tricky part is the ball joints, which can break without showing symptoms of “fatigue.” Unpleasant surprises can be avoided by timely diagnostics of the suspension at mileages of 40 thousand and above and by replacing suspicious ball joints.

Shock absorbers last about 100 thousand km and are relatively inexpensive. The front ones cost about 2100 rubles. per piece plus about 3500 rubles. for work. Rear - about 1700 rubles. per piece, and replacing both costs 1,500 rubles.

When braking sharply, a car without cargo or passengers nods slightly and sways, but when it is relatively fully loaded, this nuance disappears.

GROWTH PROBLEMS
The front brakes are ventilated disc brakes, the rear brakes are either disc (modified with ABS) or drum. Front pads last less than 30 thousand km, discs are usually twice as long.

The interior is quite spacious - of course, there is not much space behind a tall driver, however, compared to its classmates, there is more space in the Actyon Sports.

Opinions differ about ergonomics: some believe that the visibility due to the wide left pillar leaves much to be desired, many find the abundance of buttons inconvenient, and tall drivers generally find the ergonomics unsuccessful. As for the body, there are many complaints about the opening and closing of the folding side. The situation can be corrected by replacing the mechanism and hinges.

In conclusion, we note that when using high-quality fuel, the diesel SsangYong Actyon Sports is inexpensive to operate - well, yes, difficulties are possible, but this is the karma of many cars with an extraordinary appearance.

Owner's opinion. Semyon, SsangYong Actyon Sports 4WD, diesel 2.0, 2009.
I chose this car based on the following characteristics: pickup truck, appearance, price and availability - without any queues, I paid and left. I won’t say anything bad about the operation. It starts normally in winter, it is warm, the interior is comfortable, the whole family can be accommodated, and there are four of us and a mother-in-law with cats. It nods a little when braking and when cornering, I want to install stiffer springs. It consumes about 10-11 liters of fuel if you drive without afterburner up to 2000 rpm. If you drive or stand in a traffic jam for a long time, then the consumption is at least 15 liters. I visit the service only for maintenance, but the car is under warranty and I usually prepare a detailed list for the mechanics with a list of what I don’t like. So, I changed the ball joints under warranty, and it started creaking on the right after 25,000 miles. I also changed first the second and third, then the third and fourth fuel injectors. I want to change the injection pump, they say this is a weak point in the model and the injectors are flying because of this. Parking is not easy, I installed a rear view camera, otherwise I hit bollards and flower beds several times. I made an anti-corrosive underbody and installed an additional fuel filter. Spare parts and consumables are inexpensive; I spent about 27 thousand on the car including maintenance. I will change them, I try to use only cars that are under warranty.

75 thousand mileage and several visits to the dealer

Since Korean cars appeared on the Russian market and a wave of skepticism surrounded them, a lot of water has passed under the bridge and the cars have established themselves as inexpensive and quite hardy units on which you can almost plow a garden. If you look at the coverage of the Kirov market by the Korean auto industry, then the most prominent representatives of the Far Eastern mechanical engineering are Ssang Yong. We bought it several years ago and the car showed itself very well in terms of price, quality, comfort and driving characteristics. But what does a person who bought this car at a dealership face?

Elena purchased a 2013 SsangYong Actyon pre-restyle the year the car came off the assembly line in Kirov at a car dealership. Since then, the car has covered 75 thousand kilometers not only in the Kirov latitudes, but also in Altai, Lake Baikal, Georgia and other fairly remote regions. In principle, according to the owner of the car, when buying a crossover, we took into account the convenience of traveling long distances, its maneuverability and compactness for daily use in the city, and sufficient engine power for confident overtaking on the highway. A two-liter engine with 149 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission is the configuration of Elena’s car.

According to Andrey, Elena’s husband, the car has not required any major modifications since its purchase. To make it safer to overcome mountain roads, 3 additional metal protection elements were supplied, which cost approximately 5-6 thousand rubles, and an additional mesh for the false radiator grille - 500 rubles. In addition, the standard radio was replaced and an alarm with auto start was installed - 4 thousand and 9-10 thousand rubles, respectively.

Almost all repairs performed on the car were included in the list of warranty services. According to the owners of the car, in 3 years they had to perform warranty repairs 6-7 times. The weakest point in a car is the timing chain. It is on this engine that it has to be changed every 15-20 thousand kilometers. If we talk about non-warranty repairs, then there were no special expenses during operation: replacement of the boot, rear floating silent block, rear shock absorber strut.

Since the car was purchased new and is currently still under warranty, it requires regulated maintenance at the dealer. The cost of maintenance, which must be carried out every 15 thousand kilometers, varies from 8 to 18 thousand rubles. Every 30 thousand kilometers it is necessary to do an alignment/camber.

In addition to frequent maintenance, there is another problem that Andrey and Elena faced - the lack of analog spare parts. Catalog branded spare parts are unreasonably expensive and cannot always be quickly delivered to the customer in a timely manner, so in the event of a serious repair not covered by warranty, you can lose a large amount of money, as well as time.

In general, if we talk about the car, then in terms of its consumer qualities and the needs of the buyer, it corresponds to the amount spent and is unpretentious in use. There are some complaints about the build quality. Actyon is assembled in Russia. However, this plays an important role in determining the price of this car.

21.10.2016

The SsangYong Actyon is a car that is far from new and has been successfully sold in large quantities for several years now. Among the masses, the car is called differently, for example, in STS it is called Akshen, and employees of insurance companies also call it. Some car enthusiasts also took over this baton, gradually modernizing “Action” into “Action”. But now we’ll try to find out how much “action” there is in this car, and what problems you will encounter after purchasing a used Sang Yong Aktion of the second generation.

A little history:

In 2010, the first generation Sang Yong Aktion was replaced by the New Actyon; the prefix “New” in the name appeared so as not to confuse the new model with the previous version, which was in no hurry to leave the market. In many markets, the second generation Actyon is sold under the name "Korando". The New Actyon is no longer a frame SUV, like the first generation, but a regular crossover with a monocoque body. The design of the car was developed by the best designer of the century, Giorgetto Giugiaro, who drew such cars as the Bugatti » And « Ferrari » . In 2012, at the Geneva Motor Show, the New Actyon was presented as a pickup truck, which has nothing in common with a regular crossover. The New Actyon underwent another restyling in 2013, changes affected the front and rear parts of the body, the interior of the car and the technical filling. The bulk of cars sold in the CIS were assembled in Russia at the SOLLERS - Far East plant. The release of the new generation is scheduled for early 2017.

Advantages and disadvantages of Sang Yong Aktion with mileage.

There is an opinion that the paintwork of Sang Yong Aktion is thin, and the body iron in places where it is chipped rots to holes, however, real operating experience suggests the opposite. The paintwork is of average quality, but it cannot be said that chips and scratches do not appear on it at all; also, it cannot be said that in places of chips the metal does not rust, however, pockets of corrosion are superficial and can be easily removed with a rust converter. Chrome-plated body trim elements become cloudy after a couple of winters and sometimes begin to swell, especially on nameplates and the tailgate trim.

Power units

Three power units are available on the second-generation Sang Yong Aktion: petrol with a 2.0 engine (149 hp) and diesel 2.0 (149, 179 hp). At first, there were two diesel engines, then the more powerful power unit was discontinued. But, as operating experience has shown, the 179 hp engine was the most successful, since 149 hp. Not enough for this car. There are much fewer cars with gasoline engines on the secondary market than diesel ones. Many gasoline Sang Yong Aktions have problems with cold starting, especially in winter. For example, a cold engine can start, and after a few seconds stall, and so on several times. To fix the problem, the dealership offers to replace the firmware, but this very rarely helps. Some mechanics suggest that the reason for this behavior of the engine is the fuel rail, since it is installed at the wrong angle. If the car is not under warranty, then you can bend the ramp at an unofficial service center and change the O-rings.

Diesel engines are very reliable; the only thing that gives owners headaches is the exhaust gas temperature sensor on the turbocharger. The sensor has a short service life, which is why most problems occur in diesel engines. For example, the car loses traction, and the “check engine” indicator lights up on the instrument panel. Replacement of the sensor is required every 30-40 thousand km; such repairs cost 50-100 USD.

Transmission

The Sang Yong Aktion is equipped with a six-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Most cars on the secondary market are equipped with automatic transmission; manual transmission is found on average on 35% of cars. As operating experience has shown, both transmissions are very reliable, but some operational shortcomings were still identified in them. On cars with a manual transmission, sometimes when engaging first and second gear, you can hear an extraneous knocking or crunching sound; To fix the problem, you need to adjust the shift lever rods. In the operation of the automatic transmission, which is paired with diesel engines, jerks are observed when switching from 1st to 2nd, as well as from 2nd to 3rd gear, as well as jolts after stopping. Reflashing the control unit does not always help fix the problem. Also, in this transmission there are often cases of underfilling of oil, from 0.5 liters to 1.5 liters. The reliability of the all-wheel drive does not cause any complaints, but there are complaints about its performance characteristics. Many owners note that all-wheel drive was not connected in a timely manner.

Reliability of Sang Yong Aktion chassis

The car's suspension has a simple design: MacPherson strut at the front, multi-link at the rear. The second generation Sang Yong Aktion is one of those cars whose suspension starts to sound quite quickly, that is, after 20-30 thousand kilometers. Many experienced owners solve this problem by tightening all suspension connections. If we talk about reliability, then most often you will have to change the CV joint boots, fortunately, its cost is not high - 15-20 USD. Also, wheel bearings fail quite quickly; they last for 30-40 thousand kilometers. Rear stabilizer mounting bracket - 40-50 thousand km. The stabilizer struts can withstand no more than 50,000 km; for the original strut they ask for 25 USD. The remaining suspension elements last 100,000 km or more. If, when rotating the steering wheel from the extreme position to the opposite, you hear clicks or crunching sounds, the lower part of the steering shaft assembly with the ESD needs to be replaced; you will have to pay about 1000 USD for the replacement.

Salon

The quality of finishing materials and assembly of the Sang Yong Aktion interior is not of the best quality, as a result, extraneous squeaks begin to bother you even on almost new cars. The quality does not stand up to criticism; on cars with a mileage of 40-45 thousand km, the steering wheel becomes covered with bald spots and looks as if the car was driven 150-200 thousand km. Quite common cases of failure of cruise control, ESP sensor, and rear power windows.

Result:

The Sang Yong Aktion is an urban crossover with great capabilities that will appeal to a fairly large audience of car enthusiasts due to its pleasant appearance, all-wheel drive and low cost on the secondary market. If we talk about reliability, then despite a number of identified shortcomings, the car can be classified as reliable. And those problems that were identified are more related to the category of children's problems and do not require expensive repairs.

Advantages:

If you are the owner of this car model, please describe the problems that you encountered while using the car. Perhaps your review will help the readers of our site when choosing a car.
