Only sometimes, due to bad contacts or frayed wires, can something start to malfunction. However, many drivers, accustomed to the ideal quality of the “Japanese”, are sometimes very dissatisfied with minor faults. The overall build quality of the interior is also decent, although sometimes there are creaks in the car that are unworthy of a model of this class.

But if the reliability of electronics is more or less in order, then there are complaints about ergonomics. Perhaps the Nissan Primera can be called one of the few Japanese cars where something inside the driver can irritate. Most of the complaints relate to the computer being too abstruse. Playing with him is, of course, very interesting. However, after a couple of weeks of operation, it will become clear that to switch the radio station or adjust the temperature of the air conditioner, you need to press the buttons several times, while looking at the central display (by the way, in sunny weather it sometimes glares). The owners of Primera assure that there is nothing complicated about it, and you get used to the computer quickly. Perhaps they are right. Moreover, the Nissan people have their main trump card - you still won’t see so many unusual and interesting interiors, especially if we talk about the world of second-hand stores. The number of “horses” seems to be decent, but the main drawback of such a unit is its low torque. But if you have an insatiable desire to save money, and besides, the car will only be used in the city, then you can take the 1.6-liter Primera. Although it is foolish to count on decent dynamics. In addition, the service life of the 1.6 liter engine. the smallest, which also must not be forgotten.

Primera 1.8 looks much nicer. It doesn’t have too many “horses” hidden under the hood (only 116), but it is much more convenient to drive such a car. The car already responds noticeably better to pressing the gas pedal, acceleration is much more confident. Well, the most luxurious Primera intended for Europe and Russia were equipped with a 2.0-liter unit that produced 140 hp.

If you love right-hand drive, then Japan can bring you not only cars with a 1.8 liter engine. (125 hp) and 2.0 l. (150 hp), but also with a 2.5-liter unit (170 hp) and even a “charged” Primera with a 2.0 liter engine. 204 hp True, experts recommend abandoning the “hottest” car. Gasoline engines can simply upset their owners very much. Despite the vaunted Japanese quality, engines can break down even before 100 thousand km! Many people don’t believe this, but the fact remains that on a decent number of cars, without any explanation, the engine began to consume oil. If the driver was “lucky” and the engine wore out during the warranty period, then in this case the repair was carried out free of charge. But when the “capital” was required at the end of the warranty, the entire financial burden fell on the owner of the car. By the way, if your Primera is still under warranty, then never do a “re-run” between maintenance. There are many cases where the dealer refused to repair or change the engine because the car had driven an extra 100 km.

Troubles with the engine are not isolated. This is a real problem. 1.6 liter engines are most at risk. and 1.8 hp As for the 2.0 liter engine, it can also break.
