K4M engine malfunctions and repairs

Engine Renault Logan K4M 1.6 l. 102 hp not new, a number of its different modifications have been used by Renault since 1999 on the Renault Megane, Renault Clio II, Renault Laguna and others. Represents development K7M series, with a new cylinder head, already 16 valve. There are many differences: a different head with two camshafts, the camshafts themselves are light, different pistons, hydraulic compensators, etc. Motors come with or without a phase regulator, the compression ratio varies from 9.5 to 10, this and the firmware are associated with a small variation in engine power indicators, otherwise all K4Ms are identical. A whole list of indices after the name K4M shows: toxicity standards (Euro-3\4\5), gearbox type, the presence of a phase regulator, compression ratio and other little things related to the specific installation in each specific car. In nature, there is a modification of this motor called K4M RS; on wide shafts and sawn channels it produces 135 hp. from a volume of 1.6 l.
The disadvantages of a 16 valve engine include the high cost of spare parts, the timing belt K4m bends the valve when it breaks, so once every 60 thousand km you need to change the rollers, the belt itself and drivebe with a calm soul. In addition, there are failures in operation; low-quality fuel causes the engine speed to fluctuate. Compared to an 8-valve engine, the 16V is quieter, more economical, there are no vibrations and many other advantages. If you are choosing which engine to go with Logan/Sandero/Largus, then the 16 valve K4M is definitely your choice. In the case of larger cars - Duster, Megane, etc. look at 2.0 liter engine .
It is worth mentioning common malfunctions, the K4M engine often misfires, the problem usually lies in the ignition coil, injectors, spark plugs, measure the compression and proceed from that.
Unstable operation, floating speed on the K4M Logan 1.6 engine is usually caused by the crankshaft position sensor or the ignition coil.
Since 2006, a successor to the K4M has been produced, called H4M, according to the Nissan markings HR16DE, see details about it.

Tuning the Renault K4M 16 valve engine.

Chip tuning, firmware for K4M 1.6 16 valve engine

An ordinary engine chip, simultaneously with replacing the exhaust with a catless one, can slightly improve the performance of the engine, +\- 120 hp. It's quite possible to get it. This can be supplemented by installing drivetech 10 phase 270 shafts, a little wider than the standard, it will go a little more fun and give a little more hp. To move forward you need to come up with something else.

Compressor for Renault K4M

Exactly like on the K7M or K7J, if desired, you can attach a PK-23 compressor to the engine and inflate about 140-150 hp. The compression ratio of standard K4M is not too high, it can withstand 0.5 bar. There are no ready-made kits for this engine, but by contacting the manufacturer, they will assemble the required configuration for a specific car. To implement the project, you will need Volga injectors, direct-flow exhaust, phase 270-280 shafts, and to configure all this online you will need an Abit engine control unit.

Turbine for Renault K4M 16 valves

1 in 1 system as with a compressor, only instead of PC-23 we install a TD04 turbine, all nozzles, shafts, etc. we put the same thing. In practice, such configurations produce just over 150 hp. It will be difficult to achieve outstanding dynamic performance, but the fact that the car will go faster is certain. As for the resource... does anyone think about the resource when it comes to supercharging? 🙂

The whole photo shoot

“Renault Fluence” is a new player in the golf class

The French created “Fluence” specifically for developing countries like Turkey or Russia. In these markets, the new model will replace the Megane sedan. But at the same time, “Fluence” breaks stereotypes regarding affordable cars, because along with the original name it received an elegant design, a spacious interior and a full range of modern options.

DO YOU KNOW who the new “Renault Fluence” reminded me of? A typical hero of the works of the popular American writer Irwin Shaw. The characters in his novels are often poor people dreaming of wealth, who, by the will of fate, suddenly receive wealth, honor and other attributes of a beautiful life.

A similar story happened with “Fluence”. The only difference is that the affordable model, originally designed for the mass buyer, was endowed with the features of a more status car for a reason. After all, this car will have to defend the honor of “Renault” almost all over the world. 80 countries – this is the geography of sales of the new model: from Australia to South America. Moreover, in some regions “Fluence” will serve as the flagship of the French company’s lineup. This means that the demand from the car is corresponding.

“Fluence” will have to defend the honor of “Renault” almost all over the world: 80 countries - this is the geography of sales of the new model.

The “Fluence” interior is almost the same as that of the “Megane”, only the finishing materials are simpler.

Take the appearance of “Fluence” for example. We are accustomed to the fact that when creating a model for third world countries, automakers do not think too much. Essentially, it takes a European hatchback as a basis and adds a separate trunk to it. The result is a sedan, a very popular body type among residents of target markets, at minimal cost. But such cars do not look very elegant, to put it mildly: as if a cattle barn had been added to a classic mansion.

Actually, until recently, Renault also used this recipe. But apparently it was unsuccessful. And the harmonious appearance of “Fluence” was created anew, from scratch. In any case, with “Megane”, on the basis of which the new sedan is built, it is only related by a similar style and several common details. It is no coincidence that the model received an original name..

Although, of course, their bodies have the same power structure. And this has its drawbacks. The sloping roofline, which the sedan inherited from the stylish hatchback and station wagon, only gives passengers a headache. In the literal sense of the word - when sitting in the back seat of the Fluence, a tall person is constantly at risk of hitting a bump on the low doorway. And inside the stock there is almost no free space above your head.

In all other respects, the interior of the new Renault is very spacious. After all, “Fluence” borrowed the platform from the “Megane Grandtour” station wagon, the base of which is six centimeters larger than that of a hatchback or coupe of the same model. So the family of the average Turkish, Australian or Russian will most likely be satisfied.

All you need

I move to the front seat and feel like I’m in a regular Megane. Differences in details such as simpler trim materials or a conventional analog instrument cluster instead of an advanced digital one. There is nothing superfluous, no stylish but often useless options here. The Renault company proceeded from the fact that Fluence should first of all become an affordable car and therefore the principle of reasonable sufficiency was used as the basis for its configuration. And do you know what this means? Now I will try to list only the main elements of equipment (just have a pencil and paper, otherwise you’re unlikely to remember). So, these are ABS, ESP, six airbags, dual-zone climate control, navigation system, xenon headlights, light and rain sensors, sun blinds on the rear windows...

Normal equipment for an affordable car, right?! And its creators simply call all this “necessary equipment.” Perhaps the only excesses include the advanced Arkamys audio system with surround sound and leather interior. However, such “little things” very effectively emphasize the status of the car owner.

I must admit, I was generally amazed by the list of “Fluence” modifications. Just imagine: the model is offered with seven engines - three petrol (with a working volume of 1.6 liters with an output of 105 or 110 hp, as well as 2 liters with a power of 140 hp) and four versions of a 1.5-liter turbodiesel, depending depending on the boost level of the output 85, 90, 105 or 110 hp. Add to this five different transmissions (five- and six-speed manual, traditional automatic, CVT and even a robotic gearbox with two clutches) and you get a rare abundance of versions for affordable golf-class models.

The Renault Fluence is offered with seven engines and five gearboxes.

What's more important?

The trunk holds 530 liters of luggage, which is slightly more than the average for golf-class sedans.

But I essentially had no choice. The supply of diesel cars to Russia is still in question, and of the gasoline versions, the organizers provided only a 1.6-liter with a five-speed manual transmission. Also a good option. However, it will probably become the most popular in our country.

Here it is appropriate to quote an excerpt from the press release: “this engine is distinguished by throttle response at low speeds, high output at high speeds and low noise levels.” For the owner of Fluence, these words will become the quintessence of French humor. However, not the most successful one. The fact is that the 1.6-liter engine, by and large, does not possess any of the qualities attributed to it.

You have to move away very carefully. The clutch drive carefully hides the moment the discs close, and the engine under load is very reluctant to pick up speed. And it’s useless to turn it to the red zone: you won’t get anything other than a strained roar. So you can forget about assertive driving. But such a motor will teach you to calculate your actions several moves ahead. Otherwise, you simply won’t be able to move in a dynamic flow.

The extended platform from the Megane Grandtour station wagon provided space in the back seat, but the sloping roof eats up the free space above your head.

A certain compensation for this disappointment can be considered a good smooth ride and energy-intensive suspension. It allows you to completely not think about the condition of the surface under the wheels - whether it is a modern highway or a dirt path from the Ottoman Empire, “Fluence” only sways smoothly on uneven surfaces. There is no shaking or hard impacts at all. And who knows, maybe for such cars, disregard for the quality of the road is much more important than a powerful engine. After all, you can’t really drive along Russian country roads.

By the way, on the winding highway “Fluence” also gave no reason for criticism. The car drives without excitement, but accurately and predictably. Only on uneven surfaces does it wag its stern slightly. But there’s nothing you can do about it - a strong and reliable rear axle beam usually cannot provide the same handling as a multi-link suspension.

As a result, I arrived at the planned stop near a roadside cafe with mixed feelings. But my colleagues, on the contrary, were in a very cheerful mood. Since the morning they had been grieving that they had gotten a 105-horsepower diesel car, and now they were vying with each other to praise this engine. Short negotiations, a sip of strong Turkish coffee and in a couple of minutes I’m already heading to such a car.

I’ll say right away that you shouldn’t expect miracles from this version either, but unlike the gasoline modification, the turbodiesel fully met my expectations. It does its job honestly and even encourages active driving. Indeed, with almost equal power, the torque of a turbodiesel is noticeably higher. The main thing is not to be lazy and change gears more often to keep the engine in good shape. True, for the sake of the heavier power unit, the suspension on this “Fluence” is a little stiffer and, accordingly, the comfort of the car has decreased. But you can notice this only by changing from one version to another. In any case, we can only hope that diesel cars will someday reach our country.

As we know, accidental wealth ultimately did not bring happiness to Irwin Shaw's characters, and only time will tell whether such an image will be successful for Renault Fluence.

MODIFICATION

In 2010, the “Sportway” package will be available for the Renault Fluence. With its help, buyers will be able to make the appearance of their car more aggressive due to an aerodynamic body kit, a diffuser under the rear bumper, a spoiler and huge 19-inch alloy wheels.

MARKETING

In fact, sales of the Renault Fluence began in the middle of this year in South Korea. However, on the local market the car is offered under a different name – “Samsung SM3”. But otherwise, both cars are almost identical, with the exception of minor differences in the design of the front end and engine range. For example, for the Korean model, only one engine is offered - a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a power of 112 hp, which works in conjunction with a CVT.

Renault Fluence appeared on the domestic market in 2010. The French sedan was assembled in Russia at the Moscow Avtoframos plant and in Turkey. In addition, the model was assembled in Argentina, India, Malaysia and South Korea. Technically, Fluence is almost identical to the third Megan, moreover, they are built on the same platform - Renailt-Nissan C.

Engines

The official Renault Fluence has only naturally aspirated petrol engines in its arsenal: 1.6 liters (106 hp/K4M and 116 hp/N4M) and 2.0 liters (138 hp/M4R). Diesel versions were also available in Europe - with 1.5 and 1.6 dCi. There are no diesel modifications on the secondary market.

The 2-liter engine and the 1.6-liter H4M have a reliable timing chain drive. The K4M is equipped with a timing belt drive with a service interval of 60,000 km (5,000 rubles per set).

The 1.6-liter K4M was the most widely used. Its weak point is the phase regulator, which wears out after 100-120 thousand km. First, a characteristic crackling sound appears, and then - dips in traction and interruptions in engine operation. The cost of a new phase regulator is 5,000 rubles. It is recommended to update it with the second replacement of the timing belt - at 120,000 km.

One of the mysterious phenomena occurring with Renault Fluence is difficulty starting a cold engine after a long period of parking. When calling for service, dealers reflash the engine ECU, clean the throttle valve, change injectors and spark plugs. But preventive procedures did not help everyone.

Starting problems can also arise due to a blown starter fuse, solenoid relay, or even the starter itself (6,000 rubles).

After 50-80 thousand km, it is often necessary to change the thermostat. It jams or begins to leak, which leads to mixing of oil with antifreeze. The cost of a new part is about 5,000 rubles.

Sometimes the fuel level sensor, which is replaced as an assembly with a fuel pump (from 16,000 rubles), starts to fool around. In addition, the crankshaft seals may leak.

Over time, due to sudden temperature changes (for example, after overcoming deep puddles), the heat shield of the muffler becomes deformed and begins to touch the elements of the exhaust system, producing an unpleasant ringing. In this case, it is enough to bend the thermal protection to an acceptable position. In the morning, the muffler itself may accompany the engine warming up with a metallic ringing sound. And by 100-120 thousand km, the exhaust system o-ring often burns out (150 rubles) - a characteristic roar appears.

In pre-restyling cars with manual transmission, after 50-100 thousand km, the engine mount bolt often broke off, which simultaneously led to damage to the reverse sensor and the internal grenade. Later the problem was solved - a more powerful bolt was installed.

Transmission

Renault Fluence with a 1.6 liter engine was equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission (JH3) or a 4-speed automatic transmission (AL4/DP0). After restyling, it was replaced by a CVT (JF015). The 2-liter engine was combined with a 6-speed manual or CVT.

The main complaint about the “mechanics” is twitching at the moment of start after a long period of movement in a traffic jam. Dealers updated the clutch kit under warranty if the mileage did not exceed 30,000 km. In their words, the problem is in the clutch disc, which the manufacturer later upgraded. But after replacement, the problem often arose again. However, the clutch master cylinder or release bearing may require attention.

After 80-100 thousand km, some owners note the appearance of extraneous noise in the manual transmission. Mechanics claim that this is a feature of its operation - the bearings howl.

In winter, after parking overnight, the gear shift lever often becomes stiff or does not move. The reason is the freezing of moisture trapped under the cable jacket. Drying and lubricating the assembly eliminates the problem for a short time. It is better to replace the cable - 4,000 rubles.

Owners of automatic transmissions often complain about shocks when shifting. The problem appears after 20 - 30 thousand km. The culprit is the pressure modulation solenoid valve. By 100-150 thousand km, almost all automatic machines go through its replacement. The cost of the procedure is about 15,000 rubles. With regular oil renewal, the automatic transmission will last 300-350 thousand km until overhaul.

The variator bothered the owners no less. At times he began to creak, grunt and grind. The problem turned out to be known to the manufacturer. Everything happened due to sagging of the variator belt at engine speeds of 900–1100 rpm or more. The “treatment” was carried out by updating the program for controlling the operation of the variator.

After 50-100 thousand km, jerks and shocks appear from time to time. It's all about the vulnerable pressure reducing valve of the variator pump. The sun gear and bearings can also fail. For repairs you will need about 50-60 thousand rubles. With skillful handling and timely maintenance, the variator can cover 200-250 thousand km without repair.

Chassis

The suspension, like most modern cars, can squeak in the cold. More often than not, the stabilizer bushings are to blame.

After 30 - 50 thousand km, the anthers of the front shock absorber struts often tore. Dealers made replacements provided that the mileage at the time of application did not exceed 30,000 km. The strut boots from the VAZ 2110 are ideal as a substitute, and the analogue from the VAZ 2108 is ideal as a bump stop. The shock absorbers themselves last more than 100-150 thousand km.

Front levers (from 3,000 rubles apiece) may require replacement after 60-100 thousand km. The silent blocks fail, and a little later, the ball joints.

Due to a defect in the area of the spline connection, some owners experienced knocking noises coming from the steering wheel when driving over uneven surfaces. The steering rack sometimes starts knocking after 100-150 thousand km.

It is worth noting several unpleasant incidents that occurred with 2-liter Fluences in winter. At the most inopportune moment, the brakes failed - the brake pedal “stood up like a stake.” The reason is freezing of the brake valve of the vacuum hose. Dealers put an additional casing on the hose as a countermeasure. The brake system of the Fluence with the 1.6 liter engine is slightly different - no similar incidents have been recorded with it.

Body and interior

Over time, the trunk lid begins to wear through the paintwork of the rear bumper. Dealers recognize the case as a warranty and repaint the problem areas. Many also notice the appearance of scuffs from the rear door seals.

The chrome on the rear emblem may “swell” after the first winter. Similar problems occur on the front emblem, lower radiator grille trim and PTF trims.

The Renault Fluence interior soon begins to creak. Rattling noise appears in the area of the seat belt and front head restraints. The steering wheel sometimes peeled off already in the first year of operation. And in winter, leather inserts on the front seats often burst.

“Winter drops” from the ceiling light or front visors are not uncommon for a modern car. A similar phenomenon is observed here.

Other problems and malfunctions

During winter use, many people complain of a “freezing” left leg. One possible reason is a gap between the air duct pipes, through which cold air penetrates.

The heater fan motor (from 3,500 rubles) may fail after 100-150 thousand km. Soon the trunk release button also gives up.

The standard radio often “glitches”: it turns off, resets settings, spits out or does not read discs, or turns off the speakers. At the same time, many complain about poor reception of radio stations, and after 5-6 years the buttons on the radio may begin to peel off.

In general, minor electrical malfunctions are no strangers to Fluence. Most often, everything is cured by simply turning off the ignition, or by tightening the battery terminals.

Conclusion

Many units, such as the engine and gearboxes, were used on the second generation Renault Megane, and after modernization they were installed on the new model. Apparently the work to improve the units was done hastily and not deeply enough, since some of the “sores” migrated from there.

Many times I have come across topics on forums that begin with the words: “Recommend a car for N-sum for such and such needs..” And I had to ask this question to myself. The situation forced us to formulate the problem something like this:

Budget – 500 thousand rubles.

Internal dimensions – medium or higher;

Year of manufacture – no earlier than 2011;

Manual transmission/automatic transmission – it doesn’t matter, but the second one is preferable;

Comfortable, non-rigid suspension;

Mileage – no more than 80 thousand km;

One owner, service record and transparent history, which can be obtained from the dealer;

Decent, not shabby condition of the interior and body;

Absence of major accidents (minor ones have little impact on operational capabilities).

- (relatively) Reliable daily operation.

And one more known in the problem. The available period for searching and purchasing a car is 3 days.

In general, in addition to the above initial ones, I’ll clarify that I needed a car for 1-2 years (my mother told me “don’t promise”), for an annual mileage of up to 40-45 thousand km, half of which on shitty out-of-town routes (like Yegoryevskoye Highway ). Simply put, we were looking for a workhorse that was as unpretentious as possible.

Calling friends, reading numerous forums, studying the offer on the market for used cars - all this ended with the purchase at the showroom for the indicated amount of Renault Fluence, 2013 model year, mileage - 86 thousand km, gearbox - varitor, engine - 1, 6, assembly - Turkey. There is only one owner. The main part of the mileage was driven on the highways of Moscow and neighboring regions. I figured this out when I found information on the Internet about fines issued to the driver. Highway mileage, in my opinion, is the most gentle mode for the engine and gearbox. Unless, of course, you're driving at 200 km/h for a long time. The interior is like new, which is amazing.

PTS color is brown. In fact, it’s chameleon-like with a purple tint. It’s a beautiful color, although it didn’t matter at all when searching.

Before purchasing, I hired an auto expert to determine possible restored body parts. Inspection by a professional eye revealed that the left rear fender and left rear door were painted. The painting, according to the expert, was most likely done by a dealer or simply in a good salon.

A special word about the box. Thanks to my experience, CVTs evoke conflicting emotions in me. On the one hand – dynamics and efficiency. On the other hand, there is obviously a low resource, especially Nissan ones. Nissan's Jatco stands in this fluence. But specifically on this car it has a mileage of 83-84 thousand km. was replaced with a new one under warranty. This is the only reason I bought this car with a CVT and such mileage. Otherwise I wouldn't have risked it. I hope that the resource is 80 thousand km. a box is enough for me. And the engine and suspension, I hope, will not bring any surprises.

Now about the car.

Salon big. I sit quietly behind myself (height 180 cm).

The trunk is huge – 530 liters. Anecdote, but in the last Teana - only 474 liters. (eat the wheel arches and subwoofer).

Seats require some getting used to. Now they seem acceptable in terms of configuration and support. It will be clear after a 7-8 hour drive along the highway.

The middle armrest/glove compartment is too small – both on the outside for elbow rest and in terms of internal volume.

There is not enough space with recesses between the seats for every little thing.

The rear seats fold 40/60.

Control absolutely not sharp at speeds, when maneuvering at low speeds - steering wheel very light. Suspension very comfortable, moderately soft - exactly what I and my family need. Clearance according to the dealer website - 158, according to feelings and data from the forums - 170-175 mm.

Dashboard a little pretentious, but reads great.

There is an opinion that Fluence with a 1.6 engine and a CVT “does not work.” Of course, with a 2-liter engine, the dynamics are incomparable. But, given my retired driving style, it’s quite enough for me. Moreover, the actual consumption in the city - 7.6 l/100 km! I really like to refuel just once a week with a 600 km weekly mileage. Recommended fuel – AI-91, 95, 98.

I suspect that on the highway when overtaking the dynamics will not be enough, but I’ll get used to it.

Sorely missed parking sensors(this configuration) - I will install a rear camera and/or parking sensors. I remembered how I parked in a VAZ-2106 with the door open and my head stuck out and turned back. Anachronism!

Function - "keyless". A very convenient function of automatic arming - move away from the car 3-5 meters, it closes itself and folds the mirrors. The key itself is the size of a bank card, only thicker - it’s convenient to carry in your wallet and never take it out.

For a long time I tried to figure out how to fold back the wipers when clearing snow from the windshield. According to the usual scheme, the hood does not allow it. It turns out that with the engine turned off, it is necessary to move the blade control lever to the lowest position - then the windshield wipers take a vertical position.

And yet, after owning a dozen cars, I was VERY surprised by the algorithm for turning on the high beams - the lever is not “pull away”, but to the lowest position. Moreover, it also turns off by moving downwards. I suppose that for the French this is a triad solution...

The equipment is without ESP, parking sensors and such a feature as a “speed limiter”.

The main ergonomic omission is the radio and climate control controls. The buttons are small, of the same shape - you can only navigate by the small signs/inscriptions applied. To regulate the temperature, the ideal solution is traditional “knobs”.

The steering column joystick is a very dubious solution, although some of the influencers really like it. Judge for yourself - photo of the previous Fluence model, but the solution is the same:

For me, a multifunction steering wheel is the optimal solution.

The radio reads flash drives, except for folders with long names in Cyrillic. “Random” mode randomly plays files limited to one folder. The sound quality is very average, which is quite logical for a car at this price.

In the engine compartment, the funnel for filling in the washer fluid is located in the depths, which is extremely inconvenient - some of the fluid always lands by.

The turn signals are not trained to flash three times in response to a single press of the lever.

I will go through TO-90 without waiting for the required mileage. I will change all the fluids, rear pads, flush the ventilation, air conditioning and heating system, and install a rear camera/parking sensors.

Those who have dealt with the procurement of materials know the rule of three: “Cheap, fast, high quality. To implement the procurement, at least one requirement must be excluded.” This rule can probably be applied to many areas of activity.

If Fluence does not let you down in terms of reliability, I think this car is ideal in terms of price/quality/equipment ratio in my specific case and for my needs.

The car is very rolly, there is NO lateral support for the front seats. Here you can say: guys, you wanted a soft car - you’ll get it, and a passenger with a wide rear can easily sit in the front seat, very convenient for a taxi. Okay, we knew this in advance and it was a conscious choice. I'm not a racer, I'm all about smoothness and comfort. The main disadvantage (in my opinion) of the 1.6 with manual transmission is that there is no 6th gear!!! This car doesn't want to go faster than 100 km/h. Because at 80 km/h it requires 5th gear and then to 100 km/h in 5th gear we reach 3000 - 3200 rpm. If you press the gas, there will still be acceleration, but it will be so sluggish that you will grow old before you overtake the truck and turn gray. Therefore, on a 1.6 engine, get ready to suffer moral infringements from the Lada 112 when they pass you on the highway (of course, if this is important to you).))) You can object: you understand that you purchased a heavy, large car with a small atmospheric engine. OK - I also went for it deliberately, but I was hoping for low fuel consumption, but it wasn’t there. I don’t start on it, but to move comfortably in traffic outside the city you need to drive 120 km/h, otherwise you’ll have to constantly dodge overtaking people. And at such a speed of 120 km/h, its speed is 4000 rpm. - result: the engine roars (and then the sound insulation stops working, as if on command, after about 3000 rpm) and the consumption shows 10 liters per 100 km. What a savings!? The reserve power and torque would feel like it would be quite enough for 6th gear and how much it would add acoustic comfort... there would be a song, and the consumption on the highway would be a humane 8 l/100 km. But no, the French and the Turks (Turkish assembly) saved money. In short, there’s no point in exceeding the speed limit of the traffic rules, here your optimal speed is 90 km/h, and you don’t need to go further. The most annoying thing is that I didn’t know this when I bought it. My friends didn’t have such a car, but I tested it at a dealer within the city and did not accelerate faster than 80-90 km/h, and when I was driving I didn’t notice that in fifth gear at 90 km/h the car was spinning almost 3000 rpm. Now I understand what’s what, but it’s too late. Otherwise I would probably take 2.0 with a manual or CVT. Next on the little things: heated front seats from Logan - a button hidden on the side of the seat with an on/off mode and that’s it. The uninitiated have to search for a long time. The huge trunk is somewhat spoiled by the very impressive arches of the lid, which plunge into it during closing - also saving money in the French way. There is no trim on the hood. In winter, ice froze along the ribs. There are no rear mudguards, and the bumper narrows greatly and does not cover the rear wheels - the result: all the dirt flies into the driver behind and into the side of the bumper. If you don't take care of the mudguards, the paint on the rear bumper will come off in a couple of years. Painting plastic is bad! Got several chips on the front bumper in the first months of driving around the city. I rubbed it with my finger - such a small layer of paint that I really wanted to cry. There is no varnish. The outside door handles are painted matte chrome - why???!!! Thoughts: after purchase, you should immediately apply protective compounds (liquid glass, etc.) so that the paint does not peel off, and paint the handles in the color of the body. The air duct to the rear passengers' feet is fake. He really doesn't blow anything. At maximum speed, the stove only pulls a little if the front vents are blocked. (It works better in the Lada-Kalina - that’s a fact, I drove in the back!) Its only purpose is that it has a socket installed at the bottom, so you can charge your phone or laptop from the back. The wipers clean well, but snot will constantly flow almost in front of the driver's eyes. And the washer can only be used by first turning on air recirculation in the cabin. Otherwise you will suffocate! All the liquid, or rather the vapors, fly into the stove. The washer reservoir is located behind the front right headlight and when splashing on the windshield, the first two strokes of the wipers are made on dry glass. It takes a very long time for the liquid to flow through the hose. It is suggested that you install the valve on the hose yourself - it will be better. The price of the first maintenance is 10,000 rubles - robbery! I probably won’t do the 60,000 km maintenance at all from the officials. I recommend changing the oil yourself every 7,500 miles. Well, or at least after running it in. A completely worthless car! (It doesn’t matter to me, but for some this is a powerful argument:) The standard music is dull. If you don’t take the multimedia package, then there is NO sound, not even bad. I have an improved version with navigation, 4 mid-range speakers and 4 tweeters - at least it plays somehow if you turn on bass tone compensation and surround sound, and in this case it’s a dull G. And the cheap option has no sound at all. The navigation is not updated and Russia is represented on it very conditionally. Large cities are still here and there (and only if you understand the principle of driving WITH THE HELP OF navigation, and not BY NAVIGATION), but there are no regions. The areas are not marked. No streets, no houses, no villages, no speed limits, nothing. Maps cannot be downloaded by any means, even if you want to do it for money from the official website. The video reads only one format, I don’t remember exactly, it seems MPEG4 360p and with certain settings in the codec. If you want to watch a movie in the car, you need to first compress it on your computer into this format. You just can't open it. At the same time, dealers don’t know anything about this radio. Only by communicating on forums can you find out which video she can open. An important nuance: the video only works when the car is standing (for safety). Your child won’t be able to turn on a cartoon on the road and he will kick you on the back of the seat for this (which, in my opinion, is more dangerous for driving:), but this is provided that he can reach the backrest, because the car is very spacious. So it might work out. And one more thing: in dual-zone climate control you cannot adjust the temperature at once. Let’s say it’s 20 degrees, and you want 25: you first need to click on the right panel to 25, and then on the left panel, too, click to 25. For flexible hands, you can try to spread your thumb and middle finger and press two buttons at the same time - this is an interesting training for fine motor skills ) Average consumption since the beginning of operation is 8.3 l / 100 km. AI95 gasoline real on the highway - 7.5 l (90 km/h) - 10 l. (120 km/h) real in the city 10 l. (0-80 km/h)
