Where is Nissan Qashqai assembled? Nissan Qashqai of Russian and English assembly: what is the difference? Where is Nissan Almera assembled?

Now the second generation Nissan Qashqai (index J11) is assembled in Russia, side by side with the older X‑Trail model. Along with local registration, Qashqai received changes to suit our operating conditions.

For comparison, we took a ride in our Qashqai and in English, and then drove them onto a lift - and bombarded the senior engineer of the technical department of the Russian branch of Nissan, Philip Dyakov, with questions. Philip did not tell any mysterious stories in the style of “Carlos Ghosn himself appeared to me in a dream and told me that I needed to increase the capacity of the washer fluid tank,” but now we know how the process of “Russification” of cars generally works.

The decision on improvements is made at the very top, taking into account the costs of implementing ideas. Usually the list of changes is quite wide, and our operating conditions dictate it. When there is mud, snow and bad roads all around, no one will refuse all-wheel drive and high ground clearance. And Russian clients react more sharply to the quality of plastic, the width of gaps, and squeaks - they want maximum comfort.

Philip has been doing this business for the second decade. The head department of the technical center is located in Europe, Dyakov heads the Russian branch of nine people. All of them have higher automotive education, with experience working at Nissan, and many of them started by turning nuts with their own hands. Of course, employees undergo internships and training in a European center. Their competence includes assessing driving and consumer qualities, on the basis of which the engineering department issues recommendations for design changes. But the work of collecting information is much larger.

One to one?

The list of changes begins to form when the model is launched. As part of the Auto launch survey procedure, existing and potential buyers share their opinions about the car, marketing surveys are conducted, and dealership acceptance technicians collect comments. All data is systematized by marketers, and we receive the final information. As a rule, as a result, the driving performance changes noticeably: if American models have a smooth ride, but have poor steering, and the “European” ones have a pinched suspension, then we have to make a compromise.

Philip assures that the same thing happened with Qashqai. Even the cars supplied to us from England were already different from those sold in Europe, and when put on the St. Petersburg assembly line, the Qashqai was transformed even more.

This is a fortunate exception to the rule. More often than not, the opportunity to correct accumulated comments is tied to the subsequent restyling, which must be waited for three to four years, but here there is a chance to improve the car literally a year after the start of sales. On a Russian-assembled Qashqai we used front and rear subframes from X-Trail - they are attached via silent blocks and will not fit on an English car, since the mounting elements are located differently. I don’t know why the Europeans didn’t do this right away. Thanks to this solution, we slightly reduced the level of vibrations. The subframe pulled the levers and axle shafts - as a result, the track grew by 20 mm in the front and 30 mm in the rear. Because of this, it was necessary to change the linings on the arches so that they covered the wheels - it is the linings that are a sure sign of a Russian-assembled Qashqai.

During the modifications, the ground clearance was increased by 10 mm (up to 200 mm). Philip grumbles that everything was fine before - the Qashqai climbed onto any curb without problems, which is why the lip of the front bumper remained unchanged. But since the opportunity arose to show off the increased ground clearance, they took advantage of it.

All versions of Russian Kashkai have a unified fuel tank, its capacity is 60 liters (for the “British” the volume depends on the modification).

The sound insulation of the engine shield has been enhanced. The rear suspension on all Russian cars is multi-link - they abandoned the semi-independent one on weak crossovers so as not to lose in comfort and controllability. As for the conventionally greater reliability of the beam and the ease of its maintenance, Nissan suggests not to worry about the multi-link: it, like the entire car, is covered by a three-year warranty.

Shock absorbers supplied by Tenneco have more comfortable settings. The electric power steering has also been recalibrated. Having covered several hundred kilometers on the British and Russian versions, I confirm: the differences are noticeable! Moreover, I prefer “European”. It follows the asphalt terrain in a little more detail, but it feels more composed during active driving and reacts more accurately to the steering wheel. But I’m ready to admit that for most drivers, comfort is more important. And the St. Petersburg Qashqai is softer on rough roads - even despite the wheels with 215/45 R19 tires versus 215/60 R17 tires on the English car. And it’s a shame that we weren’t able to personally evaluate the properties of the Pirelli Scorpion Verde summer tires that are standard equipment on our Qashqais. According to Philip, they appeared during the localization process and showed excellent traction properties and ride comfort.

The Japanese automobile company with a rich history and an excellent market position today continues to develop, cooperating with powerful global manufacturers. The Nissan concern has become one of the most powerful Japanese car manufacturers, offering customers cars in different classes and with different technical characteristics. The Nissan company also owns the Datsun brand, which became known to Russian motorists in 2014. A budget sedan of this brand has appeared on the market, assembled at a plant in Tolyatti.

The Nissan company does not strive to provide its customers with exclusively Japanese cars. This makes it possible to build assembly plants around the world and produce cars directly in the regions that need to be covered with products. This approach to production makes the company’s machines cheaper for the end consumer and more profitable for the corporation itself.

The last years of development of the Nissan Corporation

Of course, Nissan Corporation plants are present on virtually every continent, but the Russian potential buyer is interested in precisely those production facilities that can offer cars on the Russian market. In this case we are talking about four enterprises.

The most productive and technologically advanced Nissan car production plants are located in the Japanese city of Yokohama and Sunderland in England. It was from England that Nissan Qashqai was brought to us in the last generation. In Japan, all the corporation's most expensive cars and high-performance SUVs are produced. There is also a Russian enterprise that produces Nissan models according to the following principles:

  • full cycle of car assembly, maintaining excellent factory quality of the car;
  • constant expansion of the model range at the plant near St. Petersburg;
  • introduction of advanced technologies for enterprise productivity in Russia;
  • continuous investments in plant renovation and improvement of assembly quality;
  • increasing the number of cars produced and other operating principles of the global corporation.

At the end of last year, the company in Russia went through a series of lawsuits that effectively stopped car assembly work. But against the backdrop of a general decline in demand for primary transport, this seemed like a completely logical decision by the company’s management.

If from the very beginning only budget models were assembled at the Russian Nissan assembly plant, today cars such as Teana and X-Trail are assembled. And in the near future it is also planned to set up lines for assembling the new Qashqai. This will make the cost of cars for the Russian market optimal.

Cooperation between Nissan and other global companies

The company began international cooperation in the middle of the last century, when it brought the Volkswagen Corporation to Japan. Having sacrificed part of its capacity, Nissan received huge profits from cooperation with the German automotive monster. The companies maintain partnerships to this day.

Since the 1970s, a recession began at the Nissan enterprise, which led to a decline in production and a significant decrease in the quality of car manufacturing. The corporation finds a solution to the problem in cooperation with the successful Renault concern, which currently owns more than 40% of the shares. The steps taken by Renault to save Nissan were as follows:

  • a European with a clear understanding of crisis management was placed at the head of the company;
  • Astronomical amounts of funds were poured into promoting and improving the quality of production;
  • constant updating of the technical arsenal of production workshops began;
  • the company began to attract Japanese technical geniuses and intercept personnel from other enterprises;
  • The main focus was on the export of cars, which continues to this day.

It is quite difficult for Nissan to advance in the domestic market due to the presence of incredibly strong competitors. And in other countries, by reducing the cost and increasing the functionality of its cars, the company promotes all offers in the model line. In today's conditions, Nissan is one of the most promising Japanese concerns.

However, competitors are constantly catching up with the corporation and forcing it to move forward. In Russia, the cars of the Japanese corporation have become more popular on the secondary market, because new cars are actively rising in price, which buyers do not like. But the company’s popularity still remained quite high, thanks to the non-standard solutions of the model line.

Key highlights of the Nissan Corporation model range

The company's offer includes budget models such as Almera or Sentra. These are quite decent cars that are sold in large quantities and do not serve to improve the image of the corporation. They are very simple, have only the necessary technologies in their configurations and offer the most necessary security systems and nothing more. But their affordable price attracts buyers in the economy segment.

The company’s offer also includes premium vehicles, which are represented, for example, by the Teana executive sedan and the large Murano crossover. This allows the company to count on the favor of customers in different price categories. Crossovers are represented by the budget Terrano and the traditional cross-country X-trail, but the following representatives of the model line attract the most active attention:

  • Juke is a compact SUV with an incredibly bold design that has become a successful experiment for the company;
  • Qashqai is one of the most popular representatives of the compact crossover class with an excellent price;
  • Pathfinder is a true SUV with good technical characteristics and a comfortable interior;
  • Patrol is a legendary SUV that was revived several years ago and has gained immense popularity;
    The GT-R is a sports coupe that offers an incredible engine, great power and great design;
    The Navarra is one of the largest SUV pickup trucks in its class with functional technology.

As you can see, the company’s model range is quite wide, which allows the brand to promote itself in different segments. Most of the corporation's cars delight their customers with high technology and a fairly high-quality interior, excellent materials and their successful layout. The machines are as modern as possible and meet the most sophisticated customer requirements.

Of course, not all Nissan offers are well received by customers. Among the corporation's proposals there are cars that did not live up to their expectations. For example, the budget Almera sedan, after updating in 2012, was supposed to become one of the most popular in its class, but it could not overcome strong competition from European sedans.

We invite you to watch a test drive of the new Nissan Sentra with all its pros and cons:

Let's sum it up

The Japanese corporation Nissan has an interesting history and offers customers excellent cars. Almost all models that came out from under the wing of this company can be called purebred and unusual. Among the most notable general characteristics of the manufacturer's latest models are excellent shapes, pleasant design, good materials and the highest ride comfort. Even if we are talking about simple budget cars.

The company does not chase the price of its cars, offering more affordable price tags than its main competitors. This is one of the main factors that makes many potential buyers take a serious look at the cars presented. How do you personally feel about the Nissan concern and its modern model line?

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. - manufacturer of Nissan cars, which are sold in many parts of the world.

Over more than 80 years of existence, the company has managed to earn a good reputation and build many factories producing cars.

In which countries are Nissan cars produced? Are such cars made in Russia? And if so, can you count on high quality? We will consider these points in the article.

General information about Nissan

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has been operating since December 1933.

The new brand was the result of the merger of two smaller organizations called Nihon Sangyo and Tobata Imono. Since June 1934, the new concern was named Nissan Motor.

Together with the automobile production of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. was engaged in the development of rocket engines and even the construction of ships. But the main activity remains cars.

In 1958, deliveries began to the USA, and six years later - to Europe. By 1976, Nissan became the leader in the number of cars sold, the number of which exceeded 20 million units.

In 1981, an agreement was signed with Volkswagen, which gave an additional impetus to production growth. In 1992, Nissan accounted for 17% of all cars in Japan.

By the mid-90s, the company faced serious financial problems, which forced it to sell part of Renault's shares (44.4% of shares). In May 2016, Nissan bought a 34% stake in Mitsubishi.

Today, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. owned by many automobile manufacturers in South Africa, Mexico, Japan, the United States and other countries. The total number of employees exceeds 160 thousand people.

Over the past twenty years, work has been underway to create hybrid cars and electric vehicles.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. works in many directions and here are just a few of them:

  • Marine - manufacturing of ships and engines for ships;
  • Iwaki is a motor manufacturing company;
  • Nismo - modification and tuning of cars.

The company's cars have been sold in Russia since 2004. It was this year that Nissan Manufacturing Rus LLC was opened.

In 2005, more than 46,000 cars were sold in the Russian Federation, and a year later sales increased by another 70%.

Construction of the plant near St. Petersburg began in 2007, and the first test assembly was organized at the beginning of 2009.

Initially, the plant produced Tiana and X-Trail. Over time, production of other models was established, including Murano.

In 2013, the production of Almera began in Tolyatti. A year later, Datsun was manufactured on the Granta basis.

Where Nissan Qashqai (Qashqai) 2016 is assembled, factories in Russia

Production of the car started in 2000, and it was based on the already popular FF-S platform.

Seven years later (in 2007), production of the second generation of the car began, but it was already based on a different platform - the Nissan C.

Another six years later (in 2013), the world saw the third generation of Nissan X-Trail, but already based on CMF.

The car is mostly suitable for family people who need a roomy and reliable crossover.

The greatest advantages of the Nissan X-Trail include high build quality, safety and good technical characteristics. At the same time, it is the place of production that deserves the greatest attention.

Like a number of other models, the Nissan X-Trail is manufactured in three countries. The first plant is located in Sunderland (UK).

The cars produced here are intended for car owners of the old world. The English version of the Nissan X-Trail almost never reaches Russian car dealerships.

The second country where the model is produced is Japan. Several factories operate on its territory. From them, cars entered the Russian market until 2009.

At the same time, there were no complaints about the Japanese assembly. The Japanese version of the car is distinguished by a reliable body and trouble-free driving. The only drawback is the problem with sound insulation.

The third country where the Nissan X-Trail is produced is Russia. Cars of this brand have been made near St. Petersburg since 2009.

Today the plant covers more than a third of the needs of the domestic market. At the same time, there are no problems with locally produced cars.

Craftsmen from Russia continued the trend of making 4x4 cars. The produced models have not lost any of their beauty, quality and sophistication.

It is interesting that Nissan X-Trail, made in Russia, is even ahead of its Japanese counterparts in terms of luxury interior trim.

With the start of production of the X-Trail in the Russian Federation, domestic consumers benefited significantly, because the car became more affordable and optimized for low-quality roads.

Despite the lack of complaints, after the start of production of Russian Nissan X-Trail, some consumers abandoned this model, considering local assembly problematic. In fact, these are all stereotypes.

In which countries and where is Almera assembled, factories in Russia

The car is a model with history, which has gone through many restylings and knows the “taste” of popularity. The machine has been on the assembly line since 1995.

According to the manufacturers themselves, the car became a kind of analogue of models already existing in Europe at that time - Pulsar, Sentra and others.

Nissan Almera belongs to the class of budget cars, accessible even to people with an average income.

In the Russian Federation, the car has been in the TOP 10 in sales for many years. Pros: decent build quality, relatively low price, high level of comfort and safety.

Over the years of production, the car went through four generations, and each new car was liked by consumers.

Despite a slight decline in popularity, Nissan Almera is still afloat and in demand among domestic car owners.

Nissan Almera is assembled in three countries:

  1. Great Britain (Sunderland). As already noted, cars made in England are the most popular and in demand by connoisseurs of this brand.
  2. Japan. In addition to cars, the country produces components. By the way, original spare parts for Nissan cars are mostly of Japanese origin.
  3. Russia (AvtoVAZ, Tolyatti). Here, the production of Nissan Almera cars started after the merger with Renault.

For Russia, Nissan Almera has been produced at AvtoVAZ since 2012. Since the launch of domestic production, many car owners have refused to purchase this model, citing the low quality of Russian assembly.

But such comments are not justified, because Russian production is ideally organized, and there is nothing to complain about here. A cycle for manufacturing parts for Nissan Almera has also been established here.

It is worth noting that only assembly is carried out in Russia, and the main spare parts come from the UK. This is why the final result is not much different from the British version.

Moreover, the domestic version of Nissan Almera is better prepared for traveling on our roads and “lives” longer.

For some time, the car was assembled in South Korea, at the Samsung plant, but already in 2013 production was stopped due to a number of reasons (high production costs, the need to transport parts and other problems).

Tiida (Tiida), factories in Russia

The Nissan Tiida is a popular model, distinguished by its reliability, compactness and affordable price for domestic car enthusiasts. Sales start in 2004.

The car's name translates to "sun" or "dawn of a new day" (depending on the Japanese dialect).

More than a third of Nissan Tiida cars presented on the Russian market are produced domestically.

Generally speaking, Tiida gathers in England, Japan and the Russian Federation. Sales of the car in Russia started in 2007. Moreover, until 2014, the car was assembled in Mexico, after which it was delivered to car dealerships in the Russian Federation. Nissan Tiida is also produced in Japan and Thailand.

Since 2014, the production of Nissan Tiida started at the IZH Auto plant based on the Sentra platform. That is why the car comes to our market with an engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 117 “horses”.

As for the quality of domestic assembly, there are no particular complaints. Already in the database, the buyer receives the necessary package of options.

Sound insulation, which ensures maximum comfort of movement, deserves special attention.

The main difference between the Russian-made model (when compared with the European version) are some changes in the interior.

As for the disadvantages, there are increasing references to windshield wipers that do not work effectively and leave the top of the glass uncleaned.

Another disadvantage is the presence of fan-type windshield washer nozzles, which prevents high-quality cleaning of the glass while in motion.

In which countries and where is Juke (Beetle) assembled, factories in Russia

Nissan Juke is a compact Japanese crossover that was introduced in 2009 in Geneva.

The car has been sold in Russia since 2010. Over the entire period of sales, this model has not lost popularity and is in deserved demand.

It is based on the Nissan V platform, created specifically for this crossover. The main advantage of the car is its versatility, because the Beetle is perfect for both families and young people.

Since its introduction, the Nissan Juke has gained popularity and is now produced in 20 factories around the world. Moreover, in each country there are certain differences in the subtleties in the nuances of assembly.

For the Russian market, the car is produced in Japan and the UK. At the same time, the main supplier for many years remains a plant in Japan (Tochigi province).

The peculiarity of production is that here the assembly goes through a full cycle, starting with the manufacture of parts and ending with setting up the electronics.

Hundreds of people take part in the creation of the machine, despite the fact that most of the production is automated.

The average time to produce one car is 60 hours. After completion of the work, the car undergoes a full test drive, after which it is sent to Russia.

Domestic car owners can choose another option - purchasing a Nissan Juke made in the UK.

Here, each worker produces on average up to 105 cars a year, and the Beetle accounts for a large share of this figure.

This model has been produced in Sunderland relatively recently, and the main feature of the English version is greater attention to the beauty of the interior.

However, a common drawback is the increased noise level when accelerating.

In which countries do they produce spare parts for Nissan cars? Factories in Russia

All spare parts for cars are divided into original and non-original.

For Nissan cars, original parts are made in Japan, Great Britain and a number of other countries that have received an English franchise.

These countries include Holland and India.

The market for non-original spare parts is considered much larger, which, contrary to many stereotypes, are of no less quality.

Such products may be produced under the manufacturer's brand or under other brands.

The most popular companies engaged in the production of non-original spare parts are:

  • Bosch is a German company that produces starters, motor control systems, relays, voltage regulators and other components.
  • DEPO is a Taiwanese manufacturer that manufactures and produces optics for Nissan cars.
  • Gates is a Belgian brand that produces poly-V belts, engine drive systems, instruments for quality control of belt fastenings and much more.
  • Nissens is a well-known manufacturer of radiators, heaters, and other equipment.

In addition to the companies already mentioned, it is worth highlighting KYB (Japan), NK (Denmark), Valeo (France) and others.

Some spare parts for Nissan cars are also made in Russia. So, in 2016, the export of bumpers for X-Trail to Europe began. Manufacturer - plant at the company in St. Petersburg.

The main difference is high quality and affordable price. Today the company produces bumpers for a large group of models - Qashqai, Murano, X-Trail and others.

The option of producing and supplying other body elements (hood and doors) to Europe is also being considered.

How to determine the country of manufacture by VIN code?

In conclusion, let's look at how to determine the Nissan manufacturer by VIN code.

To begin with, it is worth mentioning that the VIN number is formed from three parts - WMI, VDS, VIS (world index, descriptive part and distinctive part, respectively). We are interested in the first code.

By the way, the VIN code can be applied:

  • On the dividing partition in the engine compartment;
  • On the left side of the instrument panel (the numbers are visible under the windshield);
  • On the right side member at the front;
  • Under the passenger's feet.

If the machine is made for Europe, the WMI decryption looks like this:

  • 1N4, 1N6, 5N1 - USA;
  • 3N1 - Mexico;

The French-Japanese automaker Renault-Nissan presented it to the general public back in 2009 - and almost immediately gained popularity among young people. However, representatives of all generations also bought it - the compact and relatively inexpensive crossover was perfect for urban conditions and even allowed for out-of-town trips from time to time - especially if you tuned it with power kits and avoided real off-road conditions. This car is also in demand among domestic car enthusiasts - and many of them are interested in which company assembles it for Russian car shows.

Assembly for the global market

The concern's production facilities are located in several countries - the total number of factories reaches 20. The cars assembled at them are sent to Russia, Europe, and North America, and a certain percentage of vehicles are assembled only for the domestic Japanese market. However, since 2010, the Juke model continues to be produced at only two factories - in the city of Oppama (Japan) and in Sunderland (UK). At each of these plants, thousands of copies of this popular crossover are assembled every year.

The manufacturer checks the build quality of all cars with the help of technical control departments - regardless of where the enterprise is located. As practice shows, it is best to buy crossovers that are assembled in Japan. However, domestic buyers are more interested in Sunderland, where they produce this car for the Russian market.

Table 1. Nissan Zhuk model configurations for different countries.

Nissan Beetle for Russian buyers

The automaker's enterprise, where Nissan Juke is produced for Russia, located in one of the northern English counties, almost on the border with Scotland. The new crossover began to be assembled here relatively recently - several years later than at the main plant. But the build quality of the Bug has almost caught up with the Japanese one - although there are still certain shortcomings.

The process of creating a car at a local plant occurs in several stages:

  1. In the welding shop, a frame is made, which is checked for defects and welding quality;
  2. The structure is sent first for painting, then for drying - processes that take about 12 hours;
  3. If there were no defects at the previous stages, the car is assembled on an assembly line. The engine, transmission, electronics are installed on it, and the interior is configured.

Upon completion of all stages, the crossover is sent for export. From Sunderland it is supplied not only to Russian car dealerships, but also to a number of European countries. And, although not all buyers are satisfied with the English assembly, it is considered more profitable than deliveries from Japan - the distances to both Europe and most of Russia are much shorter.

Differences from the Japanese assembly

As reviews from domestic buyers of the Beetle model show, those options that are assembled at English production facilities differ slightly for the worse. And, although this crossover is more attractive in appearance than the Japanese version and the interior trim is more pleasant to the touch, drivers note the following disadvantages:

  • poor sound insulation;
  • paint peeling off in some places on the body;
  • hard and creaky cheap plastic.

People inside the car note a constant squeaking sound - especially if you accelerate to 70–80 km/h. Although this speed cannot be called high enough for trips outside the city. In the city, when such a “SUV” rarely reaches even 50–60 km/h, squeaks and “crickets” are not so noticeable. But their very presence makes many car enthusiasts skeptical about the products of the plant in Sunderland, where the Nissan Beetle is assembled for the domestic market.

At the same time, it cannot be said that if another country had been chosen for assembly, the quality would have been better. So, for example, if the Juke had been produced in Russia, there could have been even more defects. Although even the presence of certain shortcomings does not reduce the demand for this crossover, whose popularity is much higher among Russian youth than among middle-aged family motorists.

Where is Nissan Juke assembled? updated: October 25, 2017 by: dimajp

Where are Nissans assembled?

Nissan cars are among the most popular among Russian car enthusiasts. The famous Japanese quality and reasonable price had a significant influence on potential buyers. Next, let's look at where Nissans are actually assembled.

Where are Nissan cars assembled?

Russia occupies a leading position in sales of Nissan cars. The most favorite models of this brand are Nissan Almera, Juke, Note, Teana, Qashqai, X-Trail and many others. That is why, starting in 2009, the Nissan automobile plant, which is located near St. Petersburg, began operating in Russia. Approximately 35% of all Nissan cars sold in Russia are assembled there. The remaining cars are assembled directly in Japan and the UK. Since 2012, after the merger of the Nissan and Renault automakers, some Nissan models have been assembled at the AvtoVAZ plant in Togliatti.

Where is Nissan Almera assembled?

The Nissan Almera model is the most popular model of the Nissan brand in Russia. It has been produced since 1995. Since 2012, cars of this model have been assembled at the AvtoVAZ plant in Togliatti, which certainly caused a storm of indignation among potential buyers. The “younger brother” of this model, Almera Classic, which ceased production back in 2013, was previously produced at the Samsung plant in South Korea.

Where is Nissan Qashqai assembled?

This crossover is one of the best-selling in Russia. One of the reasons for this is the traditional European assembly. Nissan Qashqai for the European and Russian car markets is produced exclusively at a plant in the UK. However, in this regard, only a limited number of modifications of this crossover reach Russia, namely: only cars with gasoline engines.

Where is Nissan Terrano assembled?

Another Nissan crossover, popular among Russian car enthusiasts, is rolling off the assembly line in three different countries: Russia, India and Spain. At the same time, the bulk of cars go to the domestic market of countries, although some are exported. In Russia, the Nissan Terrano is assembled at the AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti.

Where is Nissan X-Trail assembled?

If until 2009, Russians could choose to purchase this family car in Japanese or Russian assembly, now this model for the Russian market is produced from the assembly line of a plant near St. Petersburg. This significantly lowered the car's rating, but was completely unfounded. The Russian-assembled X-Trail is no worse than its Japanese counterparts.

Where is Nissan Tiana assembled?

This model came to the Russian market in 2003 and immediately became a favorite among our car enthusiasts. For a long time, Tiana was assembled exclusively in Japan, but with the opening of a plant near St. Petersburg, its production for Russia was moved there. However, for some other countries, Nissan Tiana cars are assembled at factories in Japan and even Thailand.
