Weaknesses and shortcomings of Nissan Juke: owner review. Nissan Juke - five main problems Nissan Juke liquidity in the secondary market

Not long ago, fans of Japanese technology panicked when one of Nissan's bestsellers, the Juke compact crossover, disappeared from Nissan's official website. The corporation did not explain anything then, and only after some time it became clear that the car was being updated. Most likely, during the summer of 2016 a new generation of car will be developed that will surprise everyone with its capabilities and characteristics. This will be a great achievement for the Nissan corporation, because many other manufacturers have looked up to the non-standard Beetle. In Russia, the model was initially not accepted, but then created a real sensation. Today it is impossible to purchase a new Juke in a showroom, unless somewhere in the regions the last transport options remain. So it's time to consider what you can buy instead of a fancy Japanese crossover with excellent performance?

The issue of selecting a replacement for a Japanese SUV is very difficult for several reasons. Firstly, it is difficult to find a rival in terms of unique design and unusual appearance parameters; here the Japanese leads the rating. It is also very difficult to compare the price-quality ratio, as well as compare all these features with the technical characteristics of the Nissan. This car has become one of the most affordable Japanese SUVs in the class and has provided amazing opportunities for the buyer. It is for these reasons that Russian motorists began to give preference to the Zhuk. For 860,000 rubles they offered to buy an excellent car with a 1.6-liter engine with 94 horsepower, and the trim levels included many amazing opportunities to improve the car for some money. But let's look at the main competitors.

Renault Kaptur is an interesting representative of a non-standard class

No sooner had Nissan disappeared from the market than a representative of the French school of crossovers appeared on the scene. Let's start with the fact that Renault-Nissan today represent an unusual alliance that works closely together. Therefore, companies are well aware of each other's plans. At the time of updating the Beetle, the Kaptur became the main contender for the glory of the Japanese crossover. Among the important features of the machine are the following:

  • the car has a non-standard appearance, which ensures its attention among lovers of unusual and modern vehicle options for the city and the highway;
  • the base 1.6-liter engine is a 114-horsepower unit, which is equipped with a manual or CVT, the power is not so much, but enough;
  • the second unit is a more powerful 2-liter engine with 141 horsepower, available with manual and automatic, has all-wheel drive unlike the basic version;
  • the interior is full of comfort and excellent ergonomics of the driver's seat; here you can find convenient control options for any occasion;
  • The spacious interior comes as a surprise, since from the outside the Captur looks quite compact and even small; it is a youth small crossover.

In the European version, the SUV looks very decent. Today, Renault Kaptur is a good seller in Russia, since its price has met the expectations of buyers. There are very few worthy offers in the competition, so many buyers give their preference to these cars due to their successful performance. You can buy a French crossover for only 860,000 rubles; a good package will cost about 1.4 million.

KIA Soul - for lovers of oriental technology

In Korea, they also do not put up with a poor market position. KIA today offers the buyer a lot of interesting solutions. The corporation has developed a certain understanding of the crossover market, so several recent updates to the KIA Soul have been completed successfully. Many appearance details have been changed and reformed. The main technical and operational characteristics of the machine today are as follows:

  • the appearance is unusual, it is more of a large hatchback than a compact crossover, but with good ground clearance and large wheels to overcome difficult roads;
  • the highest comfort, which becomes an advantage for any buyer; the machine can serve very reliably and become the center of your attention;
  • in the interior everything is as unusual and unusual as on the outside, the car is very stylish, monitors its relevance and is regularly updated to compete;
  • all engines have a volume of 1.6 liters, but produce 124 or 132 horsepower, there is practically no difference in operation, in Korea there is also a 128-horsepower diesel unit;
  • Only the basic version is available with a manual transmission, the older engine comes with an automatic transmission, the gearboxes are classic and will last a very long time.

It must be admitted that the cars of the KIA corporation also received their clientele. This can be seen not only by the fact that many Soul owners operate their cars in Russian cities. The popularity of the car is confirmed by reviews and other characteristics of car sales in Russia. You can argue for a long time with the price of 855,000 rubles, but the car is actually worth the money, and good equipment is available for this price.

Haval H2 - if you are not afraid of Chinese technology

Another artsy and unusual crossover on the Russian market is the Chinese Haval H2. This car decided to break the idea that equipment from China is of poor quality. Excellent assembly, excellent perception of the exterior, amazing technical capabilities. All this adds up to a very interesting picture of the car. Surprisingly, the Haval H2 is the most expensive car in comparison today. Its features are as follows:

  • quite good appearance, which allows you to operate the vehicle with a certain amount of attention; it is a wonderful car with a good design;
  • everything in the interior is very comfortable and beautiful, the vehicle attracts attention and is one of the most amazing representatives of the small SUV segment;
  • the only 1.5 liter engine produces 150 horsepower, front-wheel drive is available with automatic and manual transmission, all-wheel drive is available only with automatic transmission;
  • the quality of the trip is very high, H2 owners write in reviews that they did not expect such interesting operation of the car when buying it at the showroom;
  • Already on a test drive, in a few minutes you will be able to make sure that this car is worth the money, just imagine the main technical advantages of the car.

There are many advantages over competitors. Great engine power, well-executed interior with spacious seating for passengers. This can be noticed already on the first trip. The more you use the car, the more interesting features you notice. At the same time, you can buy a Haval H2 for 940,000 rubles, and the version with all-wheel drive and automatic transmission will cost 1.17 million, not much more expensive than the base.

Nissan Terrano - if you still only want a Nissan

Of course, it is difficult to compare the two representatives of the Nissan brand. These are cars of completely different directions, but for many buyers they will be quite similar. The Nissan Terrano takes its cues from the Renault Duster and shares virtually every aspect of the car. Only in the front there are certain changes. The main capabilities of the car border on exceptional reliability and the following important features:

  • the appearance is quite unusual, the transport surprises with its visual meeting capabilities, a fairly comfortable and well-thought-out interior adds confidence;
  • the car operates perfectly, the driver can adjust the seat to suit himself, all controls are perfectly responsive, every movement brings the desired result;
  • on difficult roads, the Terrano behaves extremely calmly; high ground clearance and fairly large wheels will help you, which gives advantages in cross-country ability;
  • 1.6 and 2.0 liter engines produce 114 and 143 horsepower, the units are quite reliable and can last a very long period of time;
  • The configurations include mechanical and standard automatic transmissions without any particular difficulties in operation; the equipment can last quite a long time.

It is worth noting that cars can be easily repaired without significant difficulties in purchasing. It is important to understand that the car is of the highest quality and can offer simply amazing travel opportunities. The Terrano offers freedom of operation, this car actually offers you a lot of benefits for relatively little money. For 883,000 rubles you can buy a truly high-quality Japanese car. We invite you to watch an unusual video review of Terrano:

Let's sum it up

It is difficult to determine a worthy competitor when it comes to the class of cars in the Nissan Juke segment. So, if you are fanatically attracted to this car, you will either have to wait for the new generation to appear, or turn to the secondary market, where there are a lot of such cars in any configuration. It is worth recognizing that cars from Nissan have become one of the best offers in terms of price and quality. Many competing cars, even from China, turn out to be more expensive than the Beetle and other representatives of this brand. So we can talk about the advantages of an artsy urban SUV from Japan for a long time.

However, the previous generation has already left the market, and the new one turned out to be inaccessible to the Russian buyer right now. Therefore, it is worth looking for an alternative if you need a car today. This is quite difficult to do, given the difficult position of many corporations in the Russian car market. The model range is not increasing, and sometimes even decreasing. A few months ago, for example, the Mitsubishi ASX, which could have been an excellent competitor for the Nissan Juke, left the market. What car would you choose instead of the Japanese Beetle?

07.09.2016

The Nissan Beetle began to be sold on our market not long ago, but the car immediately aroused interest among car enthusiasts, especially representatives of the fair half of humanity. Many girls have been waiting a long time for a more affordable car to appear on the secondary market in order to become the owner of a car with an unusual design that stands out in the traffic. Previous Nissan models have a good reputation for reliability, but the Beetle has not been on our market for very long and has practically no history. It is worth noting that this car is not cheap, and it’s difficult to call maintenance cheap. But now let’s try to find out what shortcomings are hidden under the bright design and whether it’s worth buying a used Nissan Beetle.

Official sales of the model started in April 2011, and continue to this day. The secondary market sells cars assembled in the UK and Japan. As domestic operating experience has shown, the car body resists the onslaught of the red disease well, but there are still complaints about some parts. So, in particular, if you drive in rainy weather with a window slightly open, moisture will begin to collect inside the door, resulting in problems with opening and closing the doors in winter; window deflectors will help solve the problem.

Features and disadvantages of the Nissan Beetle

The Nissan Beetle is equipped with two naturally aspirated petrol engines 1.5 (114 hp), 1.6 (117 hp), and a turbocharged 1.6 liter (190 hp). At the start of sales, cars with turbo engines were recalled by the manufacturer to replace the fuel sensor gasket, along with the replacement of the intake manifold and throttle gasket. During the operation of a turbocharged engine, a common problem was identified, which is more typical for cars that are used to travel along the highway over long distances. So, in the cold season, the crankcase gas exhaust line in them may freeze, as a result, the dipstick is squeezed out, and oil sprays in the engine compartment, and if it gets on the exhaust manifold, it can ignite.

Also, when driving along the highway at high speed in severe frost, many owners have encountered the fact that the car loses traction, while the check indicator and the ESP icon light up on the dashboard, and the engine stops responding to pressing the gas pedal. The exact cause of this deficiency has not yet been established, but most likely the throttle freezes. Both problems can be solved by purchasing a blanket for the engine.

If you can’t choose between an atmospheric and a turbocharged engine, think about whether you need as much dynamics as in a car with a 190 hp engine, and if you are a calm driver, then it is better to give your preference to an atmospheric engine, since a car with a turbine is more demanding and expensive in service. The Nissan Beetle has good fuel consumption figures for a crossover. An atmospheric engine paired with a manual transmission consumes 8–9 liters when driving around the city and 6–7 liters on the highway; with a CVT the consumption is 0.5–1 liter more. The turbocharged engine is more voracious, and its consumption in the city is 12 - 14 liters, on the highway 8 - 10.

Transmission

The Nissan Beetle is equipped with two types of transmissions – a five-speed manual and a CVT. As operating experience has shown, the manual transmission is disappointing due to the poor selection of gear ratios; because of this, when driving on the highway at a speed of 100 km per hour in fifth gear, the engine is too loud and significantly worsens the acoustic comfort in the cabin. In the cold season, when the car is not warmed up, you can hear the noise of the input shaft bearing in the cabin, but once the box warms up a little, the noise disappears. The reason for this feature lies in the transmission oil, which hardens in the cold and does not lubricate the box well.

The variator also has an unpleasant feature: at low speeds of 30 - 40 km/h you can feel a failure if you start to accelerate sharply, and also when stopping, jerks or jolts may appear. Dealers call these shortcomings a feature of the CVT operation, which do not in any way affect the reliability of the transmission.

Features of the Nissan Beetle suspension

With the onset of cold weather, when overcoming tram rails or speed bumps, the suspension creaks a little. If the car is parked in a heated parking lot, then you will not hear any extraneous sounds. With a mileage of 10 - 15 thousand km, more often on turbocharged cars, drivers who like active driving may experience a knocking sound when driving over uneven surfaces and turning the steering wheel, this is due to wear of the support bearings. Otherwise, if you take good care of the car, the suspension will not bother you for 100 - 120 thousand km.

Salon.

With the onset of cold weather, the interior of the Nissan Beetle begins to make unpleasant sounds that come from under the dashboard, radio, and airbag on the steering wheel. If squeaks are heard from the trunk, then most likely the problem lies in the mounting mechanisms of the rear seat backs. The outer plastic lining located in the lower part of the windshield adds to the annoying sounds; with the onset of cold weather it begins to creak. The plastic glass of the speedometer and tachometer quickly becomes covered with scratches if you wipe them with a dry cloth. The gearshift knob very quickly loses its presentation and will need to be replaced by 50,000, but dealers do not recognize this as a defect and refuse to replace it under warranty.

When temperatures change during the cold season, condensation often appears in the space between the roof and the ceiling upholstery and comes out in the area of the visors. The outside air temperature sensor often gives incorrect readings, which in turn leads to incorrect operation of the climate control.

Result:

The Nissan Beetle is a quiet car for women. Most owners service the car at a company service station and try to take good care of their vehicle, so cars of this brand in good condition are not a rare guest on the secondary market.

Advantages:

  • Memorable design.
  • High ground clearance.
  • Sturdy suspension.
  • Good handling.

Flaws:

  • Afraid of frost.
  • Stiff suspension.
  • Poor sound insulation.
  • Expensive service.
  • The rear will be comfortable only for children.
  • Poor acoustics.

If you are or were the owner of this car brand, please share your experience, indicating the strengths and weaknesses of the car. Perhaps your review will help others correctly choose used car.

Perhaps over the last decade there has not been a more controversial car on the Russian car market than the Nissan Juke. There are no drivers who would treat him indifferently: one part hates him passionately, the other part adores him to the point of madness. Although it would seem that the car debuted in 2010, in 2012 it began to be sold in Russia, everyone should have gotten used to the extraordinary appearance and interior, but disputes about the design still arise. The only thing we can say for sure is that grayness is not about the Nissan Juke. It is designed to shock the audience and copes well with this task.

The history of the “beetle” in Russia is a separate topic. Despite the army of detractors, it was a hit before the crisis. Convenient urban crossover format, decent ground clearance, reasonable equipment, relatively reasonable price. And, of course, design. Taste and color, but often Nissan Juke was bought solely for its appearance. In Russia, the “beetle” has gained particular popularity among girls - it is stylish, compact, easy to drive, and besides, girls have fewer prejudices about its pretentious appearance. However, the presence in the lineup of a version with a 190 hp engine. added to the ranks of owners and lovers of active driving, despite the fact that such cars also had a sportier suspension.

Nissan Juke - side view

Alas, the victorious march of the Nissan Juke on the Russian market ended after banks began to write in the dollar column not 30, but 60. The car was never assembled in Russia, which means it was imported for foreign currency. The price became inadequate, and Nissan decided to remove the model from the market altogether. The return of the Nissan Juke to Russia took place in 2016, but one could not count on its former popularity. And times have changed, and the “beetle” itself has not gotten any younger, age-related sores have already begun to appear, and configuration options and engines have become few. The 190-horsepower “lighter” and all-wheel drive were no longer offered after the return. What remains is the boring 1.6 and CVT. However, the car is still sold new and, to be honest, with a price of 1.2 million rubles, it does not look very confident against the background of budget crossovers from other brands, although the original design still attracts buyers.

In our tradition, we are going to talk more about the shortcomings of the car, fortunately, extensive statistics on the operation of the car in our open spaces have accumulated.

1. Weak paintwork

Nissan Juke was never assembled in Russia; cars are imported to us from England. Surprisingly, the British are clearly slapdash with coloring. On most machines, problems begin to arise after 3-4 years of operation. We’re not even talking about chips, although by this age they are already present in large numbers, it’s just the paint is starting to peel off. There are two particularly “popular” places – the joints of bumpers and fenders, as well as the wiper arms. In most used “bugs” these places are either shabby or have been repainted.

The paint is peeling off

To top it all off, chrome is not durable; it quickly begins to swell and peel off. Of course, it doesn’t affect the speed, but The car loses its presentation surprisingly quickly. Considering that many people choose the “beetle” for its appearance, this seems to us a serious drawback.

2. Breakdowns in cold weather

On the one hand, the Nissan Juke is well adapted to Russian conditions, but on the other hand, very strange breakdowns often occur in cold weather. Many owners complain that they have cold weather Elements in the rear view mirrors are cracking. There were cases when cracks were found in the head optics.

The windshield, surprisingly, does not suffer, but the misfortune overtook stove dampers. It has been noticed that if the heater is immediately turned on to maximum on a warm car, the dampers also quickly begin to burst and do not regulate the air flow. Some of the absurdity of the breakdown is aggravated by the fact that the dampers are not sold separately, only together with the stove, which costs about $800. So you need to be careful with heating on the Nissan Juke. By the way, there are very conflicting reviews on the stove itself; for some it’s hot in the car in winter, for others it’s too hot. The truth is apparently somewhere in the middle.

3. Dimensions of the rear row and trunk

The compact urban crossover is the Nissan Juke that took off in this format. The car should be nimble and small so that it is easy to park. Nissan engineers failed to perform a miracle; the car turned out to be small not only on the outside, but also on the inside. There are no complaints about the driver's and passenger seats; people of any height and build can sit there, but... the rear seats are comfortable only for children or petite girls. Even with a height of 180 cm, it is extremely uncomfortable for a driver to sit behind himself. It’s also better not to think about seating three people in the second row.

There is very little space in the back

But the real claustrophobia is in the trunk of the Nissan. 200 liters is only for bags from the supermarket. The seats, of course, fold down, in the two-seater version there is more space for luggage, you can try to move even something relatively large, but in general you still have to admit that the Beetle is a car for 1-2 passengers.

Among the specific problems of the “beetle”, it is worth noting the creaking of the steering shaft. Even on relatively new cars When you turn the steering wheel, unpleasant sounds may appear. The steering wheel does not jam, it works fine, but it’s just very unpleasant to listen to all this in every turn. The steering wheels on the Beetles always creaked, but during the entire production period of the model, no one came up with a radical way to combat this scourge. Everything is lubricated with silicone grease, but this is a fight against symptoms, not against the disease. Moreover, the silicone needs to be updated periodically - lubricating the shaft once or twice a year has become a habit for many Nissan Juke owners. Overall, it’s a trifle, but unpleasant.

5. CVT

The topic with the CVT is as controversial as with the appearance of the Nissan Juke. Reviews about his work are very contradictory, but there is much more negativity in them. There have been cases when already by 100 thousand kilometers the variator broke down twice. It’s good that if breakdowns occur during the warranty period, then the unit is simply replaced. If the warranty has expired, then it needs to be repaired. The official dealer does not carry out such repairs at all, but even among unofficials the price tag approaches 100 thousand rubles.

Let's start with the fact that two types were installed on the Nissan Juke. For naturally aspirated engines, the model is Jatco JF015e (we know it well from a bunch of Nissan and Renault cars, the box is still actively used and will soon appear on Lada), and for turbocharged engines - Jatco JF011e. Despite the fact that the 190-horsepower “beetle” was purchased mainly by active drivers who often drive in the sneaker style, the CVT on the all-wheel drive and more powerful version lasts much longer than with “pensioner” aspirated ones. Breakdowns with the Jatco JF011e, of course, happen, but, in general, we can say that this is a reliable unit. The same cannot be said about the Jatco JF015e.

According to statistics from one specialized service, the average mileage of these boxes before repair is about 100-120 thousand kilometers. And this is not from the category of unlucky, this is a mass statistic. The weakest point of this variator is the valve body and its solenoids-regulators. During operation, they become so damaged that the entire unit often has to be replaced (a new one costs 50 thousand rubles).

But in addition to the hydraulic unit, there can be a lot of problems - the input shaft bearings jam, the pusher belt wears out, the stepper electric motor “dies”, the oil pump pressure reducing valve breaks.

To be fair, around 2014-2015 Nissan began installing upgraded firmware and problems with the CVT seemed to decrease. If anything, the number of complaints about this model has decreased. This, however, is little consolation for the owners of Beetles from the early 1910s, who suffered a lot of grief with this box. As usual with Nissan, the company did not offer any “automatic” alternative to CVTs on the Beetle; it’s good that at least it was possible to order the car with a “mechanics”, both for naturally aspirated engines and for the 190-horsepower “lighter”. “Beetles” with “mechanics” are much more reliable and, by the way, more liquid on the secondary market.

Total

The Nissan Juke has a colorful history on the Russian market, as colorful as the car itself. At the turn of the 2000s and 1900s, Nissan produced a number of very successful models and was on trend. “Beetle” was clearly not addressed to everyone, but for the target audience it became an outlet. It turned out that even for relatively little money you can stand out from the crowd and express your individuality through your car. Apart from the variator, which owners of naturally aspirated engines, especially in the first years of production, constantly struggled with, no critical problems were discovered with the car. I had to put up with only minor shortcomings, but otherwise, ride and be happy.

However, today the time of the Nissan Juke has passed. It is reasonable to buy it only on the secondary market; new it is already outdated and costs unreasonable money for its consumer properties. It's time for Nissan to retire it. Even the bright and extraordinary must retire at some point.

Nissan Juke appeared on the Russian market relatively recently, but it immediately fell in love with our motorists, especially the fair half of humanity.

Nissan has a very good reputation for reliability, but the Juke is a new model with no history. Many girls dream of owning one so much that they were looking forward to the appearance of two three-year-old cars on the market so that they could finally have the opportunity to own their dream.

Juke is not a cheap car, and its maintenance is far from free. So is it worth buying this car used and won’t owning a dream cost you a pretty penny?

Nissan Juke began selling in Russia in April 2011. The concept of the model was shown in 2009, and the world premiere of the production version in 2010. In the same year, sales of the baby began in Japan, Europe and North America. The compact beauty turned out to be controversial not only externally, but also technically, which in turn raised many questions from Nissan Juke owners. The assembly of beauty cars for Russia is carried out at Nissan plants in the UK and Japan.

After driving for a long time along the highway at high speed, and even in severe frosts, many drivers have encountered the loss of traction and at the same time the jkj light and the esp icon light up at the end. In this case, the engine does not respond to pedal and gas presses. So far, unfortunately, dealers have not established the exact cause of this phenomenon, but most likely the throttle freezes and most often this problem occurs on such cars with an engine of 1 and 6,117 horsepower.

The turbocharged engine 1 and 6 survived a recall campaign to replace the fuel sensor gasket. The intake manifold and throttle gaskets were also changed along with them. Turbocharged engines also have one problem, which is associated with long-term driving on the highway in the cold season. They freeze the line and the crankcase gas outlet, as a result the chup can almost be squeezed out. Fortunately, such stories are just one-offs; it’s not worth talking about them as statistics. However, the consequences here can be tragic. If oil gets on the exhaust manifold, a fire may occur in the engine compartment.

When choosing between an atmospheric and a turbocharged engine, you just ask yourself the question: do you need this serious dynamics that such a car with a 190 horsepower engine can give? If you are a calm driver, it is better to prefer an aspirated one, since a car with a turbine and not only Juke is always an additional expense and more expensive maintenance: the turbine will fail someday, its replacement is quite expensive, during operation it will necessarily require more expensive and high-quality fuel - lubricants, and of course higher fuel consumption.

The five-speed manual Nissan Juke disappoints with its poor selection of gear ratios. When driving on the highway at a speed of 100 km/h in fifth gear, the tachometer needle is at 3000 rpm, and engine noise penetrates the cabin.

Once again, Juke doesn't like the cold. If you have a car with a manual transmission, then in the cold season, until you warm up the car, you can hear noise from the input shaft bearing. After depressing the clutch and warming up the box, the noise disappears. Perhaps the reason is that the oil used in the gearbox does not have sufficient lubricating properties - the oil thickens in the cold.

Our car has a Jatco variator installed, this is a well-known manufacturer and it equips many brands of models of various cars with its gearboxes. As for this variator, there are some peculiarities: for example, at a low speed of 30-40 km/h there is a dip in speed gain, and also when stopping you may feel some jerks or jolts. This is not a problem and is not a malfunction.

With the onset of cold weather, the suspension often begins to creak when overcoming obstacles such as speed bumps. After parking in a heated parking lot and with the arrival of spring, the unpleasant sounds disappear. Most likely, the same can occur due to dirt getting between the spring and

Bottom of the support bearing. Owners usually drive turbocharged cars a little more dynamically than cars with naturally aspirated engines. So, the first problem with the suspension usually appears in these cars and first of all you can hear knocking noises when driving over bumps or when turning the steering wheel sharply and the culprit will be the support bearings.

The front pads run 30 thousand/km. mileage From an official dealer it’s 2500 rubles, if you want to save money, buy something other than the original - it’s 1100.

The brake discs, as usual, are two sets of pads; otherwise, little can be said about the suspension of this car; one thing is clear: up to 100 km/h you have no problems. And then we'll wait and see...

Front door locks may freeze in winter. The doors stop opening from the outside, and after opening from the inside they do not close. More often the problem occurs after visiting a car wash, but even without it such an incident is not uncommon. The reason is that the lock cable freezes due to moisture entering it. Also, moisture often happens in the door space of a Juke: for example, if you stand with the window open for a while, you can lift it and discover that it is wet, which means that this fate has not escaped you.

Another unpleasant winter surprise is cracking of mirror elements. This can happen, for example, after opening and closing, that is, after folding the mirrors, or, for example, in severe frosts this can happen after turning on the heating. Replacing the mirror element costs just under 2,000 rubles.

If you prefer to drive not with air conditioning, but with an open window, then be sure to install deflectors, since the aerodynamic feature of this car is such that liquid from the glass and doors falls directly on the driver.

With the onset of cold weather, the interior begins to creak. Unpleasant sounds come from under the front panel, from the radio area, and also from under the driver's airbag. If squeaks are heard from somewhere behind the car, then the rear seat back latch is most likely to blame. Sometimes simply lubricating the pits helps.

In winter, the outer plastic trim at the bottom of the windshield also begins to creak. The plastic glass of the speedometer and tachometer is easily scratched when trying to wipe off dust with a dry cloth. It is better to clean glass with wet wipes.

The gear shift knob begins to peel off over time. Dealers do not recognize this as a defect and refuse to replace the handle under warranty. Our car has fabric seats, but if they were leather, there is a high chance that the leather would begin to stretch a little. At least Juke owners with 20-30 thousand mileage complain that the driver's seat leather is starting to stretch out.

Another problem with leather upholstery is that the seat sides can crack over time. But this case is recognized as a warranty case and, under warranty, the seats are replaced with new ones. Moisture can accumulate between the roof and its upholstery and eventually come out somewhere in the area of the visors. If the climate control has stopped working correctly, then most likely the reason is not in it itself, but in the outside temperature sensor. In winter, the electronic part of the climate system freezes and freezes, and warm air stops flowing into the cabin just when it is needed most. But when the car is already warming up, the engine runs for a long time, then warm air begins to flow again.

For cars produced in the 12th year, the radio may suddenly begin to reboot itself when selecting radio stations, and after that the screen may go dark. Simply restarting the car will help.

Many owners have encountered the fact that the Juke's battery only lasts a year, and after that it can let you down in the winter. Fortunately, this did not happen on every car, but if this happens on yours, then install a non-standard battery and the problem will end there.

The fuel consumption of the Nissan Juke is not bad, especially for a beauty car that is very compact.

A Juke with a naturally aspirated engine and manual transmission consumes about 8-9 liters of fuel in the city and 6-7 liters on the highway. With a CVT, consumption increases by 0.5-1 liter in the city. The turbocharged Juke is more thirsty, it is content with 12-14 liters in the city and 8-10 on the highway.

After 5 months of the start of Nissan Juke sales in Europe, a theft test was carried out using the EuroInsiepi system and the car received a great 5-star rating. The Juke scored 87 points for adult protection, 81 for child protection, and the highest score was scored in the test with a manikin simulating a 3-year-old child.

The high level of the Juke's rating also ensured the integrity of the cabin during a frontal impact and the protection of children's child's engines.

Nissan Juke theft statistics are practically zero. The car is calm, family-friendly, mostly for women. This contingent of car enthusiasts does not buy cars with altered license plates and is mainly serviced by purchasing new spare parts.

The compact, dynamic, modern, stylish, bright and charismatic crossover Nissan Juke is in great demand in the European market. Moreover, many potential buyers are not averse to becoming owners of even used Zhukov, especially since this car, even when used, remains very interesting, and offers for it can be viewed.

Nissan Juke was first shown to the public in Geneva in the spring of 2010. Therefore, when choosing a used car, you definitely won’t end up with an old car. In the worst case, the car will be no more than 4 years old, and for a car this is not old. Moreover, we are talking about the products of a Japanese concern, famous for the quality of its products, and about a crossover, which, by definition, should be more reliable and durable than ordinary passenger cars. The problems of a used Nissan Juke are caused more likely by the features and intensity of use rather than by design flaws or miscalculations of the developers.

So, the decision to buy a Nissan Beetle has been made, and a place where you can choose a suitable car has been found. The time has come to make a choice, and there are some features that require attention. But, we will start with a brief reminder of the main characteristics of the crossover. Nissan Juke is created on the same platform as Nissan Micra IV and Nissan LEAF. The car is presented with two drive options (front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive), four engine options (three petrol and diesel), two transmissions (manual and automatic), ground clearance of 170 or 180 mm, independent MacPherson strut front suspension and rear suspension in in the form of a torsion beam (for front-wheel drive models) or a “multi-link” (for all-wheel drive). And now, let’s look in more detail at the problems that used Nissan Beetles may have.

Engines. There are no complaints about them, the timing drive works reliably, they will last a long time, especially if you fill the car with high-quality fuel. The 117-horsepower HR16DE gasoline engine can cause trouble in winter - during a long trip at high speed, it sometimes loses traction and the engine stops responding to pressing the gas pedal. The reason is freezing of the throttle; this must be taken into account when operating the crossover in regions with low temperatures. Similar problems are observed in the turbocharged MR16DDT; its crankcase gas exhaust channel freezes, which can lead to the dipstick being squeezed out, oil getting into the exhaust manifold, and even a fire in the engine compartment. In addition, a turbocharged engine is more expensive to operate, more voracious than naturally aspirated engines, and has a shorter service life. You also need to pay attention to the presence of a metal grill covering the cooling radiator. It can be damaged by pebbles through the holes in the front bumper.

Transmit. When idling, the “mechanics” make a little noise due to the thickening of the oil in the cold. In general, Nissan Beetle manual transmissions are so reliable that there are simply no statistics on their breakdowns. With CVTs, everything is more complicated - they “fail” during acceleration, after stopping you can feel shocks and jerks, you need to change the oil every 60,000 km.

Suspension and chassis. Problems are also possible here during the cold season. The suspension begins to creak a little, models with turbo engines require bearings to be replaced after 15,000 km, and front pads need to be replaced after 30,000 km. Everything else will serve well until the 100,000th km.

Body and interior. It is better to evaluate them in person; it is difficult to understand the condition of the interior remotely, even if you look at advertisements with detailed photographs. In addition to “chronic” diseases, such as locks freezing in winter or creaks of dry hinges, the Nissan Juke also has the loss of shine of the selector and freezing of windshield wipers due to temperature changes; it is also possible that cracks may appear in the mirrors when they are folded and unfolded or when the heating is turned on in the cabin .

Summarizing all of the above, we can conclude that the crossover is not well suited for a serious winter. When buying a used car, you need to clarify in what conditions and at what temperature conditions it was operated, study the service book and even contact the dealer for additional information. This will give you a more accurate idea of the car's previous life and help you decide whether it's worth the money you're asking for it.
