The big problem with it is the control unit - it’s located in such a way that after every rain/snow it floods, no matter how many times you close it, there’s still moisture inside, the first time I didn’t know about it and stupidly couldn’t start in the morning after the rain, many have these blocks they burn dully. The 3.5 body metal is not thin, but in the place of the chip it turns red very quickly, you need to keep an eye on it, it’s also better to wash the bottom more often because all the metal salts are eaten quickly.

Since 2015, a Peugeot Boxer, mileage 204 thousand km, cargo cmph, load capacity 1200 kg, purchased new for work. The interior is comfortable, everything is there for the driver, the seat is comfortable, the steering is acceptable, it holds in traffic, the engine always has enough pickup, the consumption has never risen above 18 liters. I did a lot of extra work on the car, there were a lot of repairs, there are some problems, the van is not perfect, sometimes it brings problems. It happened that after heavy rain in the morning I couldn’t start the car, there was voltage on the battery, the fuses were intact, but there was no reaction from the car, the control unit was flooded, as it turned out later, which I had a month later and burned out, a new unit and setup cost 40 thousand. Since this is a diesel engine, there are often problems with the fuel system; it is better to wash it at every maintenance, as it clogs and the engine suffocates, risking jamming. It is precisely for this reason that at about 120 thousand mileage I had to overhaul the engine, completely replace the attachment, fuel injection pump and partly the fuel system; if it weren’t for the diesel engine, then perhaps the engine would have lived longer. The paintwork is weak, when driving carefully on the highway I don’t catch stones, but the body sandblasts a lot, the whole hood is matte, the arches and bottoms of the doors suffer, they started to rust after the first winter. For a Peugeot of three, considering that I took it out on credit and haven’t paid it off yet, but I’m already investing in it.

In principle, the car is more or less normal, but there are problems for which I would not buy it a second time. In the cabin there is not a convenient shelf above your head that you constantly hit your head on, the location of the handbrake on the left side is not convenient for me, there is not enough space under the hood which makes repairs difficult, I don’t understand where the washer filler neck is at all, you need to have magic to fill the liquid there, I bought the car second-hand and the year doesn’t seem to be long, but everything in the cabin is already worn out and shabby, apparently the materials are also not of the best quality.

I bought a boxer a year ago. 2016 The mileage was 180 thousand. The first impression was good, the car drives briskly and is responsive to drive. The problems started after 20 thousand, I discovered an oil leak, the antifreeze was also leaking, and the check light came on. I’ll say right away that with the search for a normal service where the boxers are well known, the provinces are full. In addition to changing the oil and filters, we changed the intake gaskets where there was a leak, antifreeze was leaking from under the sealing ring, the rings are not sold separately, we had to take it with a pump. We went through the chassis - pads, silents, balls. At the 2nd maintenance, I replaced the air flow sensor and the chip, cleaned the injectors, changed the rear discs, handbrake pads, tips, camber. Plus there were some small expenses. As a result, in a year I’ve already invested a hundred kopecks and I feel it’s not the end. I won’t say that I took a dead car, it was normal, when I took it I called a diagnostician, the mileage was real. The boxer turns out to be very expensive for me to maintain. I'll see how it goes, but I'm not happy with the cost of repairs.
