Now about the car itself:
Salon for 4+. Everything doesn’t fit well; there is not enough adjustment of the steering wheel for reach. But overall, I sat down well at my height of 185. The trunk is huge, but loading is not convenient.

Regarding comfort, the sound insulation for this price is space. Like a Bentley, probably. I traveled Tyumen-Omsk-Tyumen, my back never hurt. It was as if he had hit the road to the village.
In general, for this money, the car is wonderful, the best, if not for a few BUTs:
1. The paint is very thin; in the first week two chips appeared on the hood. I still haven't painted it, there's no rust.
2. Assembly - tear off your hands, the gaps on the sides are different. I will butt heads with the Dealer to get them to exhibit it.
3. All sorts of little things, such as an elastic band that doesn’t fit, or a broken seam on the visor, still spoil the impression of the car. When you first sit down, you think you’re in an expensive foreign car, but when you look closely, you can see that it’s made in Russia and made in China.

If you have a substantial sum on hand, then, of course, it is better to take the “Japanese”. Consumption – 13/10 l per 100 km.

The Emgrand x7 seems to have a good engine, but you won’t be able to get out of the snowdrifts. In severe frost with the hood open, the washer hoses may crack. There are too many little things like this. As for the chassis and engine, the rear arms had to be replaced two years later. There were no problems with the engine. Consumes 12-13 liters, which is significantly higher than normal.

In some cases, excessive fuel consumption has been observed with this power unit. A car with a 2.4-liter engine can exceed the mark certified by the manufacturer by as much as 1-2 liters.

Hello everyone! I’ve been driving the EC7 for a week now, and to be honest, the result exceeded my expectations. It really is a spacious, comfortable car. I took the basic package because I didn’t want to wait long for the full package, and the difference isn’t that big. From what the manufacturer suggested, I can note the following as a minus: 1-bright interior, 2-lack of tightening of the windows when arming the car, 3-if daytime running lights are installed, then they should function and not just be for beauty, especially that the switching is connected to them, the 4-wheel drive does not show the current and average fuel consumption. The average fuel consumption with the climate control on is about 10 liters, while I still hope that after running in this figure will decrease, but I doubt that it will be the announced 6.5 liters/100 km , 5-the acoustics seem to be normal, the speakers are 20W, but it seems that the radio is producing all 50W, because... after the 15th division of the volume, the sound quality ends, and there are 31 such divisions. So in general the machine is very good, playful, soft, comfortable, easy to operate. In general, the EMGRAND EC7 is worth the money.

After 9 days Sergei added: I walked 930 km, I had an epiphany about consumption. At the beginning, I was really stupid, I heard enough talk about 95 gasoline, that it was better to pour 92 gasoline, which I did. As a result, consumption was 10 l/100 km (the tank burned out gasoline) then I read in the instructions that you need to fill it with 95 and higher, so I filled it with 98. Delight knew no bounds, highway 5.3 l/100 km, combined cycle -6.2 l/100 km. There are 15 liters left in the tank, I’ll try to fill up with 95 Premium, 98 seems a little weird. I want to change the signal (it’s kind of rickety) for this appearance it doesn’t correspond at all, I’ve planned to install Volgov ones, it’s not a shame to use them :)

After 1 month and 7 days Sergey added: I’ve already wound up 2270, soon there will be zero maintenance. As for the complaints about the car’s behavior, there are none. I’m going to void the warranty on the electrics (I’ll connect the “daylight” and in the rear lights the top unused 3 LEDs will be paired with the stops, they will stand out brighter). There is information about the supposed warranty. A friend of mine on Emgrand had a knocking sound when turning the steering wheel sharply. At the AIS service station they determined that it was the crosspiece of the steering column shaft. They don’t refuse to replace it, but they don’t change it either, citing the fact that they don’t have such a part in stock and it’s not known when it will appear. It turns out they didn’t refuse and at the same time they sent it nicely. In the end, this spare part can simply be picked up from another model and repaired outside the warranty workshop, so explain to me, maybe I’m missing something :WHY THE HELL DO YOU STAND BY THE WARRANTY? This is pure mischief!

After 1 month and 17 days Sergei added: Yesterday I drove a TO-0 with a mileage of 2700 km. This pleasure cost 841.65 UAH. In fact, I’ll tell you, I WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN. They tried not to let me go to the car, but they still gave me a robe and I went. I was right on the heels of the workers not to eat. Let’s start with changing the oil. The papers state that they should use Shell 5W40 , 4 liters, the guy brings a canister printed out with the marking 5W30, to my question “why 30 and not 40 and why is it not sealed”, the stunning answer sounds “30 is frost resistance, because we don’t get to -40, then you can pour in W30 and the oil is printed, because the draft is from a barrel with a volume of 200 liters." Okay, even if it is draft, but I didn’t give a damn about antifreeze characteristics being pushed into my oil! This man says that he has been working at a service station for a year now. They pour 3.5 liters into me and say that this is how it should be, that it’s better not to fill it with the maximum. After this miracle, diagnostics of the chassis followed, there’s nothing to complain about here. That’s where the maintenance ended, which should take 4.3 standard hours. The most interesting thing is that already in the parking lot, near the service station they added the remaining 0.5 oil to me, did computer diagnostics of the engine, treated the door locks with a spray lubricant, this is after I read the work order before payment. According to the service book, 20 control points must be completed, 1 - replacement (oil), 1- adjustment (running), 1- cleaning of injectors. Of the 20 points, 15 have been completed. And this takes into account that the owner stands over the soul as a supervisor. Guys, if you continue to repair your cars at the AIS service station, DO NOT LEAVE THE CAR UNATTENDED!!! You yourself won’t even notice how they will cheat you and won’t blink an eye, and it’s YOU and NOT THEM to drive your transport! Since yesterday, this service has been CROSSED OUT for me, it doesn’t matter in the slightest what kind of car you have, whether it’s a Zaporozhets or a Lexus, they equally need appropriate care. I AM NOT AN ENEMY TO MY CAR AND MY WALLET!!!

Acceleration to 100 is slightly thoughtful (12 seconds), the traction at medium and high speeds is decent, the maximum speed of 200 km/h is not the limit. (judging by my FS, the engine is the same!) In general, if you don’t look at the performance characteristics, it’s quite decent, but it’s not capable of 127 horses, it feels like 110 in the range (again, judging by FS) I’ll add that Emgrand has different settings, but This may only slightly affect the behavior of the car.

I was at the AIS and they said that after March 15 there will be mud flaps (up to 100 UAH set, protection (313 UAH) and a “trough” in the trunk (up to 150 UAH)... in this weather it would be better if they were there before November 15.... ..We'll see

It’s a good machine, but its 1ZZ-FE engine (Toyota) is somewhat confusing, with its low service life (150-170 thousand) and increased oil consumption due to waste caused by wear and sticking of the piston rings. The problem often occurs after 35-40 thousand mileage!
