A reminder on how to accept a new car. What to check in the salon

Buying a car is not enough; you also need to not be left in the cold when dealing with cunning car dealership managers. Unfortunately, buying new car in an official car dealership, the buyer is absolutely not protected from accidentally buying a car with defects or that has been in an accident.

There are quite a lot of cases when a theoretically new car, which you have, turned out to be damaged and painted; quite recently, such a story happened to our forum member. Moreover, dating in a salon is by no means a guarantee; the author knows of a case where a girl bought a seriously damaged and painted car in the salon where her father was the director of the service station. Everything became clear two years later during the sale. So personal connections don’t solve anything either. What to do to avoid “pleasant” surprises? Keep your ears open and stick to simple tips.

Do not sign anything without making sure the quality of the car

As a rule, it is not possible to see your car immediately after concluding a purchase/sale agreement and payment; the first acquaintance takes place directly on the day of delivery. A clean and licked car by specially trained people is waiting in the delivery area, the managers are smiling, the keys are in their hands and their hands are itching to get behind the wheel and rush off into the distance. But you should remain patient. The car will still not be considered yours until you sign the acceptance certificates. As soon as you sign on them and leave the salon, any identified damage will become acquired by you personally and it will be extremely difficult to prove something to the car dealership. That's why, Golden Rule buyer: do not sign anything until you are completely sure that everything is in order with the car. In addition to the acceptance/transfer acts, there will be other documents that will need to be signed. Don’t forget to read everything, and also stock up in advance with the phone number of a competent lawyer who will be ready to advise you on unclear points.

Vehicle inspection

When buying your first car, you should involve an experienced person in the process of getting it who “knows where to look.” If among your friends there is an expert appraiser, then this perfect option. A “huckster” or just an experienced buyer of a used car would be perfect. If you don’t have such acquaintances, then at least experienced car enthusiast. In any case, two pairs of eyes are better than one, and an experienced motorist will somehow see more than a classic “teapot”.

Inspection plan

Vehicle equipment

Print it out in advance or save it to your phone. detailed description machine configuration from the manufacturer’s website and check that your machine corresponds in all details to what is described.

Paintwork

Carefully inspect the car from all sides from different angles. Repainted parts, as a rule, are poorly visible at the right angle, but can begin to “play” when the viewing angle changes. Please note any suspicions; perhaps you will still need an expert with a special paintwork thickness measuring device, who can definitely determine that the car has been repainted. Hard to reach places, such as bumper edges and sills, can be felt for scratches/chips and uneven paint.

Staffing

Be sure to check the availability of a spare tire, tool kit, cigarette lighter/ashtray, if they are included in the package.

Operation of locks and all vehicle systems

Try opening the doors with a key and using the remote control (if there is one), each door individually from the inside/central locking, the operation of power windows, interior lights, seat belts, and so on. As well as seat adjustments.

Lighting devices

You can't do without help here. Turn everything on and off one by one lighting devices to make sure they work. Turn signals front and rear, low beam, high beam, parking lights, daytime running lights And fog lights back and front (if any).

Under the hood

We look under the hood and check the presence and level of fluids in all tanks, as well as the oil level (on a cold engine). We also look at the presence of oil pan protection, if it is included in the package or was ordered separately.

Optional equipment

If you ordered something beyond the configuration: installation of an alarm system, floor mats, audio system, and so on, do not forget to check availability and functionality. In the case of an alarm system, be sure to check where the installers stuck the Valet button and write it down in a notebook, phone, or any other place where you can find it in a few months or years. Do not write it down in the service book, similar to the PIN code on a Visa card.

Engine operation

Naturally, you need to start the car, and if the interior space allows, then drive it. It is quite possible that you will not be allowed to drive it yourself until the acceptance/transfer certificates are signed, but even with the salon manager behind the wheel, you can listen to the engine and listen for suspicious noises.

If something's wrong

If during the process it turns out that there is something wrong with the car, present all your complaints to the manager who issues the car to you. And then act according to the situation. Disadvantages that can be eliminated will most likely be eliminated in your presence, but with damage to paintwork or suspicions of repainted parts will have to tinker. In any case, remember that you have the right to demand another car to replace the damaged one.

Reconciliation of documents

If everything is in order with the car, be sure to check that the body number matches the documents. On most modern cars The body number is visible through a special window on the windshield.

Registration

According to the procedure that we have already described separately, the dealership must give you a car with transit (red) license plates, and then you independently register it with the district MREO within the time limits allowed by law. By the way, now it is not necessary to do this at the place of registration; MREOs have appeared in Kyiv, which can help those who “come in large numbers” save time and money on traveling to the region of registration. But, as a rule, car dealerships offer their services for registering a car, and if you want to save time, you can use them. Unofficial prices for such services range from 500 hryvnia, although there are cases when cunning managers overestimated the registration amount by two to three thousand hryvnia and frightened people with terrible queues at the MREO. You should also remember that, according to the letter of the law, a third party can register your car only with a notarized power of attorney. And although this does not stop anyone, without it, registering your car will technically be illegal.

What else?

Before going to the dealership, you can also take care to scout near the dealership good dressing, take money for gasoline, and in winter also prepare winter tires so that you can immediately change the car’s shoes. Or you can bring it to the salon in advance so that you can leave for the winter. And, despite the “horror stories” stated above, still do not think that the goal of the manager in the salon is to deceive you. You can quite enjoy the process of buying a car, but you still need to keep your ears open.

Do you have anything to add?

When the matter of obtaining a loan and insurance, payment and preparation of the necessary documents is completed, all that remains is to get the car for use. How to properly accept a car at the dealership so that there are no complaints in the future? A comprehensive inspection is required and detailed check performance of all equipment, only after this can you sign the certificate and finally pick up the vehicle.

Why is it important to accept a car correctly?

Formally, at a car dealership you are purchasing a completely new property, which up to this point has not been used by anyone at all and therefore should not have any damage at all. In practice, this is not always the case. Cars are delivered from the manufacturer to the showroom, sometimes they are taken across the border to special equipment, sometimes they drive it under their own power.

In all cases there is a risk of damage or other malfunctions. How to accept new car from the salon?

Very important rule for the new owner: all defects that were not indicated upon acceptance of the car will subsequently be recognized as occurring during operation. If you do not notice a dent or scratch on the body, it will be impossible to prove later that it was caused by careless transportation. As a result, repairs under warranty do not cover such problems, and you will have to repair a brand new car at your own expense.

Don't forget about the possibility of a manufacturing defect. Poor quality assembly is not that common, but you can purchase a car with obvious defects that will need to be corrected. If you notice them in the showroom, it will be much easier to get repairs under warranty.

Basic requirements - how to properly accept a new car from the showroom:

  1. The first step is to check the overall completeness. It is important to check the numbers indicated in the documents with those on the machine itself; in addition, everything installed is checked optional equipment, availability of a set of keys, a spare wheel, etc. The car must be completely assembled; in the future, it is impossible to prove the absence of any component at the time of acceptance.
  2. External inspection of the car. The integrity of the coating on the body, glass, headlights, moldings and others is checked external elements. Do not hesitate to inspect the vehicle from all sides: you paid a lot of money for it and have every right to consider your purchase.
  3. Checking all closing elements and the reliability of the locks. The doors should close easily the first time, the hood and trunk locks should be checked, and the gas tank flap and neck should also be checked.
  4. Checking electrical equipment. This is not only an alarm system, electric windows, etc., but also full check all headlights: low beam, high beam, fog lights and other elements of the vehicle’s electrical system.
  5. Checking the interior: this includes the integrity of the upholstery, the location of the steering wheel, and the ability to adjust the seats. Make sure that the interior of the car corresponds to the parameters stated at the time of sale. The interior largely determines the attitude towards both the car and the owner, so this is very important point inspection.

It is also necessary to check the performance of the transmission, brakes, and listen to the noise of the engine. As a result experienced driver will be able to notice all the shortcomings and deviations that are present in this car. Knowing how to properly accept a car at a dealership, you can avoid a bad deal and subsequent problems.

If any defects are identified, you need to demand either a replacement of the machine, or payment for repairs under warranty, or a significant discount. Naturally, these are unnecessary losses for the salon, so the salon employees will try to convince you to give up your claims or will try to simply refuse to satisfy your claims. As a last resort, if an agreement cannot be reached, the matter can be resolved in court.

Tricks and tricks of car dealership employees

Knowing how to accept a car when buying it from the showroom, you will be able to determine the presence of obvious defects. However, very often they try to hide such shortcomings, hoping for the inexperience and inattention of the buyer. What should you pay attention to and how should you take the car into the showroom?

  • If the car has a small external defect, the manager will do his best to distract your attention: “accidentally” cover the damaged part of the body with his back, describe in detail the advantages of the interior, etc. Your task is not to give in to persuasion, but to calmly and carefully inspect the car from all sides.
It’s especially difficult for female customers in this regard: managers know very well that it’s easier to distract them in beautiful words And external shine, so there is a high risk of not even noticing serious drawback. It is better to go for an inspection in the company of a friend who will not be easily distracted and who is well versed in cars.
  • The salon must provide an opportunity for a test drive. Even if you can’t drive, you need to at least start the engine, check the operation of the transmission, everything installed equipment from wipers to air conditioning. If you are refused before the time of purchase, this clearly indicates that there is something wrong with the car.
  • How to accept a car from a dealership and not become a victim of unscrupulous sellers? It is important not to chase big discounts and too tempting offers; they will try to sell damaged vehicles cheaper, and then they may refuse the warranty, citing any circumstances. Low price may be a sign of a serious marriage, and it is better to look for another option.
  • Acceptance of the car is completed by signing an act in which the client indicates that technical condition he is satisfied with the car and has no complaints. From this moment on, the salon does not bear responsibility for the car; the client will have to resolve all issues on his own. It should be remembered that there will be very little fuel in the tank, so the first point on the route of the new car will be the nearest gas station.
This is a checklist for car acceptance. If you have any wishes or additions, write, we will make wishes and additions...

From my article today you will learn how to properly buy a car at a car dealership if you decide to purchase a new car.

Naturally, a new car is new in Africa, and this best option for a motorist, if finances allow, unlike.

But did you know that even a completely new car from the most official dealer can be obtained with a catch, and even more than one? Unfortunately, this is so and the entire purchase procedure should take place under your close attention.

Well, the price at car dealerships can seriously depend on many nuances, which the buyer is quite capable of using to his advantage using simple techniques. Don't you want to buy a brand new car at a serious discount? Few people don't want this!

Want to know how this is done? Read the article and you will find all the answers!

When the make and model of your future transport has been determined, you can start searching car dealer to conclude a deal. Let me remind you what I wrote in one of the previous articles, which you should read first.

I will only note that the price for the basic configuration of the car you choose should be approximately two-thirds, or a little more, of your entire purchase budget. Otherwise, you may not receive what you expected from the package.

Now I’ll tell you about the configuration itself because some motorists have confusion about the meaning of some terms:

  • Options are all additional components and devices installed on a car individually or in batches;
  • Equipment is the installation of a certain number of options of a certain configuration on a car.

Specific models usually have several categories of basic equipment, which differ in a hierarchical order and can very significantly influence the price and capabilities of the car.

Manufacturers name their configuration systems differently. As an example, I will give the most common notations.

  • Economy package;
  • Comfort package.

Mid-budget:

  • Standard equipment;
  • Family package;
  • Intensive package.

Luxury package:

  • Sports equipment;
  • Ultimate package;
  • High-tech equipment.

Each brand has its own configurations and configurations and configurations, and they often differ noticeably. Some manufacturers specifically develop and implement unique branded options in order to stand out from the general brand range.

You should also distinguish between the options themselves, which come in two types:

  • Factory options are usually any additional components or different characteristics units that are structurally introduced into the car at production sites;
  • Dealership options are additional multifunctional devices, comfort and design details that dealers can equip car models with on their own.

If you need to choose between these two categories, it is better to give preference to the manufacturer's options.

Are options needed at all? Of course we need it! After all, configuration options may include engine power, beautiful non-standard coating colors, and many other good and useful things. After all, the engineering genius of the planet is constantly improving passenger transport.

For example, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), airbags and directional stability(ESP) are incredibly popular options, without which many drivers can no longer imagine modern cars.

Purchase procedure

Who is best to buy from?

It is safest and most optimal to buy new cars in showrooms that are official dealers of manufacturers. In such places, at least you won’t be deceived on a grand scale, unlike ordinary car dealerships, where all sorts of scams and even scams are possible, which is what I’m talking about.

Attention! Beware of places where customers are lured with prices below the general level official dealers!

On the Internet you may come across options with price tags significantly lower than those offered by the officials. Your contacts will convincingly and reasonably confirm all this to you, and will in every possible way assure you of the safety and honesty of the offer.

Don't believe it!

In fact, these are unofficial dealers with confusing gray, and sometimes black, sales schemes, according to which you will definitely overpay a significant amount for the car and will not even be able to challenge it in court.

I will tell you specifically about purchasing from official dealership car dealerships.

When is the best time to buy

There are two seasonally good period for shopping:

  • Winter is when the demand for cars falls and dealers become more accommodating;
  • Spring – end of the first quarter, when the annual update ends model range and discounts come from the manufacturer.

Also good time for purchases – the end of any reporting and financial periods:

  • Of the year;
  • Semester;
  • Quarter;
  • Months.

At this time, between the 22nd and 30th, dealers are ready for maximum discounts and pleasant gifts. Official dealers have their own plan from manufacturers regarding the number of units sold, for failure to comply with which various sanctions and penalties may be applied to them.

For example, the manager may have his bonuses cut off, and the dealer himself may have his discounts reduced or even deprived of them for malicious and repeated underselling of the minimum established volumes.

Were they showered with volcano ashes?

Therefore, during these periods, you can count on bargain purchase. Some people even make money this way by purchasing new cars with maximum discounts and selling them at the average market price.

In the very first days of reporting periods, you can usually get only symbolic discounts and some gifts or items additional equipment. For example, floor mats or crankcase protection, but nothing more. For gift winter set tires will have to fight.

How to look for official dealers

The largest number of dealership centers are located in major cities. Therefore, if you have such an opportunity, you should consider the option of buying a car in a city other than your own. Highest density of car dealers different brands observed in the capital. There is the greatest competition between them and, accordingly, best conditions to buy a car with significant discounts, if you try and seize the moment.

To find the dealership centers you need, you must first go to the official website of the representative office of the brand you have chosen. On this site, by entering the name of your city in the search field, you will see a list of official dealers in your region. You can find all the geographically most convenient and accessible centers for you and work with them.

The lists of dealers will contain basic information for each of them: physical address, contacts, official website, etc.

By going to dealer websites, you can get acquainted with their offers and assortment. All information about configurations, package and single options, terms, payment methods, open promotions, etc. is indicated there.

How to buy profitably

So, you have already decided on the model, color, configuration and options you need. Here it should be taken into account that dealers make maximum concessions when choosing more advanced configurations, and basic version You can't save much.

Get to work calling car dealers using the lists you have chosen. For greater convenience, it is better to print these lists and work on them “hand-held” rather than on the screen.

You need to call each dealer, find out their initial conditions and try to impose yours. You will be connected to sales consultants, to whom you will inform the equipment you need, color and other necessary data.

The most important thing here is not to give the initiative to the manager. You should be the manipulator, not the center employee, then you can count on success.

What should you tell the manager? For example, you can deliberately tell him the trim level of a model one step lower than the one you have chosen and unobtrusively hint that if there are any interesting offers for a higher trim level, then you are ready to listen, for the sake of variety.

This will encourage the consultant to reveal to you all the information available on given time discounts with special offers and the initiative will be in your hands.

Feel free to use bluffing techniques: happily inform managers that their competitors, whom you just called, are offering such and such profitable terms and with such cool gifts, but you decided to ask if there were better offers somewhere.

This way, you present yourself not as a victim of marketing charm, but as a “customer in the balance” that you need to fight for. And they will fight for you, believe me! Well, if you don’t overthink things with “competitors’ offers,” of course.

Usually in such cases, the manager abandons crafty ideas of professional manipulation of the client and asks to wait for a while, or agrees to call you back in a couple of minutes, because the center has found one special offer for you today, the details of which need to be clarified with the authorities.

How else? After all, according to the law of marketing, it is impossible to let a client go to a competitor, and God bless him, they are ready to give in, since they got such a nut to crack. That is, the consultant will go to a senior manager or higher management to agree on a discount and scope of price concessions if you become insolent and decide to bargain.

And you will definitely do this - I strongly advise you to bargain until the last minute. It won’t be any less from you, let alone from dealership and even more so!

Also, when talking with a consultant, try to let him understand that this is not the first time you are buying a car at a dealership and you need a specific offer right now and today. To all sorts of slyness, like: “come to us, we will give you delicious coffee and calmly discuss everything,” answer firmly that there is no time for empty chatter and you only need their offer from the salon, and not coffee or spaghetti for your ears.

Well, or in some other way, but stand firm and demand the final verdict on discounts over the phone. Don't forget to remind us that you have many more sales places to call!

After a meeting with management on your account, the manager-consultant will offer you specific terms of purchase: a discount for a certain amount and, usually, some kind of gift or set of gifts.

It should be borne in mind that various types of discount accruals, points, etc. are not considered discounts and are not compelling arguments in favor of a purchase. So cool down the manager if he suddenly gets carried away on this wave.

The discount will be given to you in any case at your request or “forcibly” and the salon has a much greater interest in it than you - discount cards sellers try to attract buyers to themselves. Therefore, it is their idea and their problem, not yours.

You can also offer to give you a specific gift. For example, a set winter tires instead of rugs, or travel satellite alarm, which you looked at on their website. Don't hesitate to take the initiative!

By the way, the prices for all sorts of optional devices, systems and components in auto centers are often astronomical and you should buy them as gifts for your car, and not for money. You can buy the same thing on the Internet for 2-3 times cheaper, if necessary.

So be on the lookout if any zealous manager, forced to give in to your persistence, decides to take a little revenge on you by subsequently foisting something on you at inadequate prices.

When you call, some car dealerships may not have the options you need. About half of your list will be eliminated early in the process. And in some places you may be asked to wait, promising all sorts of bonuses for waiting. You can only agree to wait with short term and without paying a deposit if everything else looks worse than this offer.

After you have called all the salons on the first round and selected several promising ones, start calling them on the second round. Yes, yes, this is exactly how money and discounts are made.

From the remaining options, you should choose the most profitable one, and then communicate with all managers based on it, businesslikely informing them that there are such and such in such and such a place good conditions. Can you offer me a better option?

Communicating in this spirit, you must find out from each dealer his final positions, i.e., drive him into a corner in which only final price, which the salon will probably not reduce.

After calling everyone a second time, politely thank each employee for the information provided and, citing the need to communicate with a couple more centers, say goodbye with a promise to call back if anything happens.

After doing this with all the remaining dealers, just wait a day or a little less. Very often, with this approach, some manager, with a burning plan and an awl in his ass, himself calls you back with even more advantageous offer, which appeared “for you, well, just now”

This concludes your bullying of sales employees. Don’t be especially ashamed of your “villainy,” because, rest assured, in compensation for concessions to you, dealers will definitely give something less to a less persistent client or sell him at exorbitant prices something completely unnecessary and lying around. These are the wolf laws of marketing.

We buy

Having chosen the most profitable seller, you need to check with him again all the points of the offer: brand, model, equipment, options, color, price, discount, gifts, payment methods. When everything has been checked in this way, you can go look at the car.

If, upon arrival at the dealer, you see that your car is being maintained open parking lot and it is covered with snow or dust, then require washing before inspection.

IN mandatory For a new car, you need to inspect the body especially carefully. And not just like that, but with a thickness gauge. You can bring your own device or ask for it in the showroom (it is required for each vehicle site).

The body of a new car can be damaged during delivery, parking and all kinds of movements. For all discovered hidden corrections, you need to ask for a reasonable discount, because if you decide to sell the car, then the buyer, having discovered the same thing, will also reasonably demand a discount from you.

Typically you will need to visit the dealer twice. For the first time, you will inspect and approve the car, clarify the details, make a deposit (usually 10-15 thousand rubles) and leave your data.

Attention! On your first visit, be sure to write down the VIN number of the car in front of the manager in order to eliminate the temptation for dealers to subsequently replace the car you have chosen with another for any reason.

After some waiting (usually no more than two or three days), they will call you back and inform you that everything is ready and you can pick up the car.

On the appointed day you will arrive at the car dealership and the first thing you should do is make sure VIN number the body is the same car in front of you that you inspected before.

Before signing the purchase and sale agreement (SPA), deed of transfer and other documents, read them carefully, especially the small print, if any. Keep in mind that salons do not accept free forms of PrEP and all their contracts are standardized. It is unlikely that you will be able to include your points in the policy from the salon.

You can also take out CASCO and MTPL policies from a car dealer.

After signing the papers and making payment, the car dealership must carry out shopping preparation for your car:

  • Washing;
  • Polishing with paste;
  • Inflating tire pressure;
  • Removal of manufacturer's preservation.

When leaving the car dealership you must have:

  • Vehicle passport;
  • OSAGO policy;
  • Guarantee certification document;
  • Completed service book;
  • Book of description and operation of the car.

You can find additional visual information on purchasing a car at a car dealership by watching this video:

  • While still at the car dealership, determine how much gas you have in the tank and where you intend to refuel.
  • Keep PTS, OSAGO and licenses in a separate folder at hand in case you are stopped by the traffic police.
  • Even at the car dealership, adjust the seat and steering column to suit you.
  • It is very advisable before the main drive of the car to your home, especially if it is far away, in some suitable place study everything carefully necessary systems car, check and adapt to its progress.

Conclusion

At the end of the publication I will make several main conclusions:

  • The success of the purchase depends on correct selection configuration and set of truly necessary options;
  • Success in the fight for a profitable deal is determined by seasonality and your assertiveness in communicating with managers;
  • You should only buy a new car from official car dealers.

Happy car shopping!

So, you decided to join the camp of motorists and get own car- and certainly new. Overlaid with many car magazines Having called your friends and visited dozens of online forums and communities, you have chosen a car that meets your tastes, needs and financial capabilities. Now comes the most crucial moment - the purchase itself, which, as you might guess, will be a labor-intensive, energy-consuming process.

Buying a car: first steps

Alas, it is not yet possible to buy a new car via the Internet, like many modern devices. The most you can count on is the ability to order through the dealer’s website, but personal communication cannot be avoided in any case. Therefore, first you will have to choose a car dealership where you will make a purchase.

As a rule, in large cities several dealers deal with one brand at once, and on the Internet you can find a lot of conflicting reviews about them - from praises (often custom-made) to curses (which may also not be entirely sincere). Once Chekhov rightly, with his characteristic medical precision and insight of a genius, noted: each case needs to be individualized. We advise you to take a critical look at each of these reviews.

Pick up the phone and don’t be lazy to call each of the car dealerships- their addresses and telephone numbers can be easily found through Yandex. Ask the seller a few simple questions: Is the car available? If not, when will it be, and do I need to deposit funds in order to reserve it? What colors are available? Options? And most importantly, what is the price of the car you need, because, as a rule, various types of markups are added to the base price.
Even from such a short telephone conversation you will be able to take away a lot of useful things.

First of all, you get the information you need first-hand- you don’t have to spend a lot of time visiting all the car dealerships. Secondly, you can choose your manager. Believe me, this is very important - during the purchasing process you will have to communicate with him for quite a long time, so I would like some kind of human contact to be established. It’s not always worth going to the car dealership closest to your home, because, in the end, it can result in a lot of wasted nerves. A good manager will be friendly and patient during a telephone conversation, most likely, he will ask your name and introduce himself, and if you’re lucky, he will invite you to the car dealership. Let's say, for a test drive.

One caveat: if you are not yet firmly convinced that you will buy this particular car (right here), do not take the entire amount with you. Usually a deposit is enough - most often 10-15 thousand rubles, which you can immediately deposit at the car dealership's cash desk and thereby reserve the car. When everything goes well, you go to the car dealership, already name the phone number of your personal manager and agree on a time in advance - they will be waiting for you. And if no discrepancies arise, you can withdraw the entire amount later.

In addition, it is far from a fact that you will immediately see your car - as a rule, cars are stored in warehouses. They will probably show you a copy that is in the showroom. And, of course, you will like it. Pictures of a wonderful summer will immediately appear in your head: country trips, picnics with friends... Everything in rainbow colors. But don’t rush - all the most important things are ahead.

Buying a car: lending, insurance

It is at this moment that you will be asked a sacramental question: “Credit or cash”? And here two scenarios are possible. If you buy a car for cash, everything is simple: pay the required amount, sign a sales contract, insure yourself with compulsory motor liability insurance and, voluntarily, with CASCO insurance. As a rule, you can choose from several insurance companies, and the main thing here is to take a responsible approach to choosing an insurer. It’s better to overpay a little, but insure yourself with a company with a proven reputation, than later, if, God forbid, you get into an accident, you find out over the phone that your insurance company is on the verge of bankruptcy...

But everything will be a little more complicated if you decide to buy a car on credit. Firstly, the loan rate in different banks varies significantly depending on whether you can provide proof of income or not, and if you can, in what form. So, in Sberbank, where today the lowest rate (11-12%), a loan is the most difficult to get - a 2NDFL certificate is required. But VTB24 also works with “free-form” documents, but at a higher percentage of 17-18%. If you don’t want to bring work and any certificates at all, the rate can increase to 30%, and today Raiffeisenbank mainly works under such programs.

In any case, everything will depend on many factors, but the lower interest rate, the higher the probability of failure is currently. Many lenders have now abandoned programs with a zero down payment, but they are not interested in a large, around 50%, down payment. Anyway 600,000 rubles - this is the credit limit, overcoming which you will be faced with even more stringent conditions and high interest rates.

Secondly, it is worth considering one more nuance. Let's say you received the go-ahead from Bank A. Initially, the interest rate on the loan is low, which is good news, the conditions seem to be excellent, everything suits us, but then it turns out that we are obliged to insure ourselves exclusively with one single insurance company. But CASCO is mandatory when purchasing on credit.

At first glance, everything is fine. Even if the percentage is slightly higher than that of competitors, the loss is still not obvious. If you drive, say, 3 years without an accident (since we take out a loan for 3 years), you will be given a discount both after the first year and after the second year of operation...

But, firstly, “no accidents” implies that you need to avoid any accidents - even those where the culprit is another driver. And the probability here is 50x50 - either you will be lucky or not. Secondly, you need to check this insurance company regarding its solvency. Suddenly she lives last days? If something happens, you will not only have to wait for years for payment and go to court, but very soon they will call you from the bank and ask you to insure yourself with another company. And these are new expenses...
In addition, with such a scheme, the most unexpected tricks are possible - for example, you will have to install a security complex in a strictly defined company at an extremely inflated price. And the main thing here is not to give in to emotions - agreeing to everything, you may simply not meet your purchase budget... Don’t hesitate to be meticulous and ask your consultant for the insurance company’s requirements for car protection.

Buying a car: is it worth installing additional equipment at the car dealership?

But let’s assume that the issue with the loan and payment method is successfully resolved. Almost immediately the manager will inform you that you are purchasing, in essence, a “naked” car. It has no mudguards, no crankcase protection, no floor mats, not to mention xenon or parking sensors. In conditions of urban vehicle operation and, as always, a somewhat limited budget, it is worth taking the this issue. Of course, you will be offered to buy equipment right here - at inflated prices, because the sale of additional equipment, along with maintenance, are the two main sources of income for a car dealership.

But take your time - all the additional equipment, from mats to security complex, you can purchase it yourself without losing quality, but to a greater extent winning money. Maybe it’s even better to drive a bare car for the first time and understand the need for this equipment for you personally? If you see that some options are absolutely necessary for you, - you can always install add-ons in a professional installation center, possessing all the necessary documents and MAIN EXPERIENCE, saving the budget.

And here the Internet will come to the rescue again, where you will find many useful information- both on club forums and on the websites of relevant organizations.

Buying a car: Trade-in

Most motorists have long been familiar with the trade-in system, that is, buying a new car taking into account the cost of the old one. Old car simply accepted as a down payment on a loan. It happens like this: a client who wants to purchase a new car comes in his car and goes through technical inspection. On average, this procedure takes one to two days. If the client agrees with the appraisal amount, he can either pay the shortfall for the new car outright or take out a loan. As a rule, anyone is suitable for exchange foreign car up to 5-7 years old, has passed customs registration and is not listed in the search and theft databases.

Let's say a person has a 2005 car and wants to buy a new one for 80 thousand dollars. Having arrived at a car dealership that offers a trade-in service and agreeing with the valuation of your car, let’s say, 30 thousand euros, you can offset this amount against the new car. In this case, you will need to deposit the remaining 50 thousand euros or take out a loan for this amount.

When purchasing on credit, the bank receives a notification from the dealership that the client’s car has been accepted as a down payment. In order to take advantage trade-in system, you must have all the documents for the car and your passport with you. Everything else is the concern of the salon staff. The advantages of such a system are obvious - saving time and effort.

Buying a car: receiving a car at a car dealership

Finally, the final step of purchasing is receiving your purchase. The seller must fill out an act, introduce you to the new car, and provide everything Required documents, and you, in turn, make sure that they are filled out correctly and that the car suits you. It is best if you come to pick up the car with someone who is experienced in cars and knows you.

On the Internet you can easily find a FAQ for receiving a car, which includes 48 points. Focus on them.

Buying a car: how are we being deceived?

Human rights activists claim that the number possible schemes Fraud in the sale of cars is off the charts - unscrupulous auto centers will go to great lengths to make extra money on unlucky customers!

Yes, selling used cars under the guise of new ones is rare today. As a rule, if the car was used for test drives or served as a replacement, then a significant discount is provided upon purchase. But sometimes the car dealership buys used cars(usually they are 1-2 years old) and brings them to special service, where “restoration” is carried out (repairs, mileage twisting, etc.). After which, after carrying out the necessary manipulations with the documents, they are returned to the salon. Naturally, under the guise of new ones.

It is very difficult to identify a forgery, but most often such machines are offered a free warranty service maintenance on suspicious long term, under one condition - to service the car only at their service center. If you hear something like this, this is a reason to be seriously wary. The car service workers where the car will be serviced are notified of everything.

Quite often, car dealerships are actively set the price of the car in foreign currency and prescribe their course for her, but inform her about this only when it is beneficial to them. So, they can equate 1 dollar to 35 rubles, while the Central Bank exchange rate on the day of purchase is 29 rubles. But you will find out about this after you have already signed the purchase and sale agreement. You can try to cancel the purchase, but the contract most likely has a clause that states that if you refuse the car, a certain percentage of the cost of the car will be charged. This way you can lose a considerable amount. So before you sign the sales contract, find out the exact cost of the car in rubles. And if you are deceived, you must sue. Most likely, the car dealership will simply be afraid for its reputation and will return your money to you.

Another deception scheme is more like extortion. A good salesman is often also a psychologist. Having chosen a car, you begin to fill out the documents, but suddenly it turns out that you were ahead of yourself: there was a problem, and the car has already been reserved. Naturally, you will be upset, because for you buying a car is a long-awaited event. But after a while the seller is in a hurry to make you happy: we are ready to negotiate with the client who is ahead of you, but for a symbolic reward... “If I’m not the only one who wants to buy this car, then it’s really good,”- the client reasons and, after thinking a little, gives the required amount. It is clear that in reality there is no client who ordered the car you like - the seller simply decided to make extra money.

Very often the reason that customers are deceived is their carelessness and inattention when filling out documents. It all happens like this: you come to the car dealership, choose a car with the desired configuration, pay at the checkout, and when the time comes to pick up your car, you receive it with a different set of equipment... Moreover, the car dealership will not consider all your claims, since the purchase agreement includes sales there is not a word about the car configuration you require. As a result, the car dealership will receive additional profit, and the level of comfort of your car will drop significantly.

The list of things that can be replaced in your car is considerable. This includes: wheels, tires, radio, alarm, parking sensors, lamps, as well as some other equipment. In this case, either a single element or the entire filling can be replaced at once.

Take the time to carefully re-read the purchase and sale agreement before signing anything. Better yet, don’t rush to buy additional equipment in the salon.

And only after avoiding all the pitfalls, receiving all the documents and making sure that everything is in order, you can finally get behind the wheel of your new car. Sweet moment! Yes, it was worth suffering for this...
